Growth in the Kingdom
Growth in the Kingdom
mark
And he said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how. The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. But when the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
This parable is only recorded in the book of Mark, but it shows that Spiritual growth is a continual, gradual process, it illustrates the nature of the reign of God in the human heart: it suggests the Christian doctrine of ‘growth in grace’
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground,
it inculcates a continued trust in God, who will give a harvest in due time

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
Gal.6:
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Mark 4:1
In order for corn to grow their must be someone to scatter the seeds.
The word scatter mean to casting in all directions
The word seed here is being used for the Word of God.
casting in all directions
In order for corn to grow someone must cast the seed in all directions.
But the same is true for this world,
The word seed here is being used for the Word of God.
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
In order for there to a harvest here in this world a pond Jesus return their must be a casting of the word in all directions.
The ground do not naturally bring forth corn, but weeds.
The ground must be plough and the seeds must be scattered.
Mans heart does naturally turn to God, repent, believe and obey.
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
rom
we are told numerous times through the new testament we are told to go out unto the world and preach the word.
In vs. 26 we are being told to go out unto the world and cast the word of God in all directions.

and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head.
Man can’t change man only God can change the heart of man.
Man can’t change man, only God can change the heart man. These two verses shows the nature of the reign of God in the human heart; this verse states that
this vers
e shows that God reigns over the human heart; and if we continue to trust in God, He will give the harvest in due time.
I like the farmer we can’t begin to understand the growth process and it is a slow process

but the best part growth is up to us.
Even through the farmer does understand the growth process it does stop it from happening, the seed still sprouted and grew.
in the same way the Kingdom of God starts in a persons life with a seed of understanding then that take root in good soil which is a ready heart. which grows into strong faith.
But how it happens is up to God!
So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.

Mark4
But when the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
who can explain how spiritual growth happen,
Why to people can be sitting side by side and both hear the word of God but effects one and not the other, what one rejects the word and another accepts the word.
I do know that in
And he told them many things in parables, saying: “A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear.”
That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea. And great crowds gathered about him, so that he got into a boat and sat down. And the whole crowd stood on the beach.
Matthew 3:
Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
That good soil is a willing and ready heart .
why is this important because Jesus will return and a harvest season will happen ( The final Judgement).
Matthew 25
“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
“Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
“Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Let Pray!!
where the Gospel is not spread the people can’t believe it
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
