Its seems that after the pentecostal community of Goods (acts 2:44-45) ceased the wealthier members of a church would bring food to certain services, for a love feast ()to be held after communion, in which the poor and rich joined.

This, in Corinth, it seems had overshadowed the Lords supper.

Those that brought the food ate in their own clique, without waiting for the congregation to assemble.

imitating the drunken revels of heathen people in their idol temples, christians were making the love feasts occasions for gluttony, losing sight entirely of the true significance of the Lords supper.

NOW STATEMENT

The Lords supper should be a time of remembrance

I want my church to understand that the Lords supper is a time to remember that Christ dies on the cross for our sins, everyones sin.

OBJECTIVE

I want my church to participate in the Lords supper, to remember why we do it, and to partake together as a family
