Topic:Obedience of Jesus Christ

Thesis: All Christians must be obedient to the we of God

Purpose: The purpose this text is to show that Jesus had a will to be obedience to the will of God

Introduction: ‎In order for one to do the will of God he must hear and obey the word of God.

The gift of the quails to Israel was not repeated, but the manna continued to rain down for them every night. In sending this, God meant to train his people to obedience. Therefore he bade them gather each the same amount, about two quarts; and though some proved over-greedy and gathered much more, yet when they brought their load home to their tents, each found he had exactly the two quarts. So also, God bade them preserve none for the morrow; and when some disobeyed and sought to store the manna for the future, “it bred worms and stank.”(Exodus 16)

He was obedient to the Jewish law

Jesus Christ’s obedience and commitment were to the spirit of God’s law; his attitudes to Jewish legalism were often seen as disobedience. Disputes over the Sabbath are one example.

Obedient is part of believers character

Obedience should characterise believers’ lives

“obedience” refers to a whole lifestyle arising from a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
