1 John 1:2 CSB
that life was revealed, and we have seen it and we testify and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us—
CSBWhat was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have observed and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life—
1 John 1:2 NKJV
the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—

1 John 1:2 KJV 1900
(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
1 John 1:2 Scrivener 1881

ἡ ζωὴ - The Life

“The Life” - Now named here, refers to the Word of the Life.
Jesus being called Life - , ,
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life
John 14:6 CSB
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
- Zoe: Divine Life, Psyche: is human life vs bios
- Bios (Physical Body) -
- Psyche - (Mind, Emotions and will) ,
- Zoe (The divine life that uniquely possessed by God) , (nicodemus)
- Hence, Jesus will "lay down his physical life (psyche)" so that his sheep may have spiritual life (Zoe)
Jesus was very “narrow minded” when He said that He was the only way to the Father. What He is saying is that there is only One Way to heaven.
Many over the last century have tried to make it to be that there is any way to get to heaven. you can follow any religion, live any lifestyle, follow any god (little g), or follow any shaman or cleric or pastor. Anyone who believes this will not see the Father, will not go to heaven.
You must have faith in Christ and you must believe that Jesus is the only way. If you believe otherwise, you are diminishing who Jesus is and if you do this, you are doing exactly what the Gnostics did in the day of John.
NASB95What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life—
ἐφανερώθη (ephanerOthE)- Caused to be seen, revealed, manifested

NASB95What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life—
The Meaning falls short in human words or terms, but what we are talking about in the first two words of this passage, had no beginning, but always existed and is in a state of existence.:2The Hebrew word for everlasting means “beyond the vanishing point”
μαρτυροῦμεν - to testify, give testimony, give a good report, to be a witness and to affirm that one has seen or heard something
Martyr - A Witness
CSBIn the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
The disciples were and are the witness’ for Jesus Christ while they were alive and even after their death. That is why John is using the word we. We have seen, we bear witness, we declare the eternal life to you.
Acts 1:8 CSB
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Even after the Apostles death, their lives spoke of the witness that they were to the Gospel of Christ. Whether in their life, they proclaimed the gospel or in their death, which testified of the gospel. They were Martyrs
Today we equate the word Martyr with those who die for the a purpose. Those who died for the gospel we honor. But the Word Maryr simply means witness
So whether you are to live for Christ, you are a Martyr. or whether you die for Christ, you are a Martyr. You are a Martyr in either case. This gives me tremendous freedom to live a radical life for Jesus Christ, living a life that is in reckless abandon for Him.
Go ahead and kill me for the sake of Christ, I am already dead to this life. I am living for Him! That is what a true Martyr means.
Our lives themselves are a witness. The way we talk, the way we live, what we do.
People are watching and are looking to see what is different in our lives. Is it worth coming over?
The worst thing for a Christian to do, is to live like the World. Somehow, the secular world knows that we should be different. They want and need us to be different.
Our lives cannot be contrary
If we are no different, then what we believe has been a sham. This has been the destructiveness of the church today in which we have invited people in saying, its no different, lets make it comfortable for you to come in, you don’t have to change your lifestyle at all. The lack of change in “Christians” saps the power from the witness of the Gospel of Christ.
I would much rather have 1 christian, with a changed heart and life for Christ, than 1 Million Fake Christians that are playing church and who undermine the gospel of Christ.
The world then points to the few who actually have changed and don’t live the same way as the worldly church and it gives them the power and credence to call us bigots.
I saw online a church that made it comfortable for the young people coming int to curse and to live a homosexual lifestyle. We are to love them coming in but to make it clear, the Bible says that you cannot live a sexually deviant lifestyle and go to heaven. Those are not my Words but the Words of God in the Bible.
If you want to live a life contrary to the Bible then
1 Corinthians 6:9 NKJV
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
If you want to live a life contrary to what the Bible then do everyone a favor and don’t confuse people, stop calling yourself a christian. Because you have made a choice to live in rebellion against God, against Jesus Christ, and against the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
If you are a Christian and struggling in sin, there is healing from the Lord, but you need to make a choice to live for him. You are struggling in sin because you have a divided heart. Your heart needs cleansing, your desires need to be changed to be the desires of Jesus Christ.
CSBIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

At the point of the beginning, or at the beginning of this process or action, The Logos Existed. The Logos Existed and then He set the beginning in MotionJohn 1:3 - All things were created by Him. Because apart from Him nothing was created that wasn’t from Him.God existed before the beginning. Jesus Christ Existed before the beginning. The Triune God existed before the beginningIn a book, there is the beginning of the book, which is Chapter 1The Book often will have a Prolog, an Introduction, and sometimes something about the Author. The Author existed before the book. The Author lives outside of the timeline of the book and is not bound by the book’s limitations that the author has set. The author has set Time limitations and location or space limitations. The author has set character limitation in who they have created. Our Author has done the same in setting Time and Space limitationsHe has set Character limitations in programming us to certain limitations within ourselves. The difference here is that we are living and He gives us free choice to move within the limitations that He has set.And now we are here in and we are going to explain who the author is again. We will use terms that the author created, but we will try to explain an Author who lives outside of creation, but has revealed himself by inserting himself into the story. It is important to understand who Jesus is because is is central and all important to who we are and to our faith. We must understand who Jesus is and get to know Him. Christianity therefore is a relationship with The Eternal Life, the Creator, the Word of the life, with Jesus. Anything more or less than a relationship with Jesus Christ is false Religion or religiosity, churchianity, its then fake, false, in error. It’s Jesus Christ or Nothing.God the Father also had a purpose for the Son. It is an eternal purpose in which God inserted His Son into creation. Jesus was not just a spiritual vision but an actual person that came and dwelt among us, or tented (tabernacled) among us. He is the Logos of The Life. He is The Life and Eternal life is given from The Life. He is the essence of life and the source for all life.Space and Time were made by God.Secular Scientists and human wisdom (which amounts for nothing in God’s eyes, because He has existed and created the human) says that nothing existed before something existed. Nothing eventually made it to something.“Before the big bang, scientists believe the entire vastness of the observable universe, including all of its matter and radiation, was compressed into a hot, dense mass just a few millimeters across. This nearly incomprehensible state is theorized to have existed for just a fraction of the first second of time. Big bang proponents suggest that some 10 billion to 20 billion years ago, a massive blast allowed all the universe's known matter and energy—even space and time themselves—to spring from some ancient and unknown type of energy.” - National Geographic WebsiteWhere did this fraction of a millimeter of Gas come from? ὑμῖν - you
CSBThe life of every living thing is in his hand, as well as the breath of all mankind.
CSBIn the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
τὴν ζωὴν - The Life
CSBIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
CSBInstead, you have exalted yourself against the Lord of the heavens. But you have not glorified the God who holds your life-breath in his hand and who controls the whole course of your life.
τὴν αἰώνιον ī-ō'-nē-os - The eternal, everlasting, without beginning and end
In the original language, the phrase is To Reveal The Life, The Eternal (One)
We are hear to reveal The Life to people. We are to reveal how not to live a life that is already dead and heading towards destruction.
We are to reveal the One and True Eternal One to people. That through the eternal one, we might have life, be born again, and yes, have an everlasting life.
John 3:3 CSB
Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
The Life is the source of all life, He can resurrect this life that we have that is dead. He raised Lazerus from a physical death. He raises us up from a Spiritual Death. Even in the end, He will raise our bodies who will be transformed, so He will give us a physical resurrection also.
You see, He is the Life. All life comes from Jesus. Apart from Jesus, there is only death.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Jesus was with the Father, came down to earth and “Tented among us”. The apostles observed this and in all His glory and now declare it to us.
