In Chapter 11, Mark brings forward the image of Messiah intended for His followers. He is a humble king who looks about and sees that the kindom is not yet present. Fruitless fig trees and a king riding on a donkey bring forward the prophetic Scriptures. Drawing on these images, Messiah teaches His followers how to pray in a way acceptable to the Father.
