  • Who has had the biggest effect on you as a person?
  • How did they affect you?
  • What has been the biggest change in your life up to now?

In the book of acts Peter gives a sermon that ignites the hearts of many people gathered who were not Christians.  After hearing the message it says they were so “cut to the heart” by the idea that God had sent his son to die for them that they asked Peter and the rest of the guys around “What do we do now?  Peter said to them ‘Change your life and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins; and you will get the gift of God’s Spirit in you.’”

  • When was the last time you were cut to the heart or totally blown away by something amazing? What happened?
  • Have you ever been cut to the heart spiritually?  What happened?
  • After a big moment with God, whether you decided to ask Jesus into your heart and to follow Him the rest of your life or if you’ve gone through tragedy and just felt his presence through the pain, have you ever asked the question, “What next God, what am I supposed to do now?” When and how did this happen.
  • How do we let those moments fully change our lives?
  • Why is it important to live changed lives after experiencing God?

Galatians 2:20

20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

  • How does this verse relate to living a changed life?
  • How does this verse explain the changes in our hearts and actions?
