The Westminster Confession of Faith: Edinburgh Edition Chapter II. Of God, and of the Holy Trinity

III. In the unity of the Godhead there be three persons, of one substance, power, and eternity; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. The Father is of none, neither begotten nor proceeding; the Son is eternally begotten of the Father;p the Holy Ghost eternally proceeding from the Father and the Son.

John 4:24. God is a Spirit; and they that worship him, must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Job 11:7. Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? Ver. 8. It is as high as heaven, what canst thou do? deeper than hell, what canst thou know? Ver. 9. The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea. Job 26:14. Lo, these are parts of his ways; but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

Psal. 90:2. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting thou art God. 1 Tim. 1:17. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Psal. 145:3. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

Eph. 1:11. In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will.
