Nehemiah 4:6–9 NKJV
So we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work. Now it happened, when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites heard that the walls of Jerusalem were being restored and the gaps were beginning to be closed, that they became very angry, and all of them conspired together to come and attack Jerusalem and create confusion. Nevertheless we made our prayer to our God, and because of them we set a watch against them day and night.
Nehemiah 4:6-9
Nehemiah 6:1-16
Nehemiah 6:1–16 NLT
Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab, and the rest of our enemies found out that I had finished rebuilding the wall and that no gaps remained—though we had not yet set up the doors in the gates. So Sanballat and Geshem sent a message asking me to meet them at one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But I realized they were plotting to harm me, so I replied by sending this message to them: “I am engaged in a great work, so I can’t come. Why should I stop working to come and meet with you?” Four times they sent the same message, and each time I gave the same reply. The fifth time, Sanballat’s servant came with an open letter in his hand, and this is what it said: “There is a rumor among the surrounding nations, and Geshem tells me it is true, that you and the Jews are planning to rebel and that is why you are building the wall. According to his reports, you plan to be their king. He also reports that you have appointed prophets in Jerusalem to proclaim about you, ‘Look! There is a king in Judah!’ “You can be very sure that this report will get back to the king, so I suggest that you come and talk it over with me.” I replied, “There is no truth in any part of your story. You are making up the whole thing.” They were just trying to intimidate us, imagining that they could discourage us and stop the work. So I continued the work with even greater determination. Later I went to visit Shemaiah son of Delaiah and grandson of Mehetabel, who was confined to his home. He said, “Let us meet together inside the Temple of God and bolt the doors shut. Your enemies are coming to kill you tonight.” But I replied, “Should someone in my position run from danger? Should someone in my position enter the Temple to save his life? No, I won’t do it!” I realized that God had not spoken to him, but that he had uttered this prophecy against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him. They were hoping to intimidate me and make me sin. Then they would be able to accuse and discredit me. Remember, O my God, all the evil things that Tobiah and Sanballat have done. And remember Noadiah the prophet and all the prophets like her who have tried to intimidate me. So on October 2 the wall was finished—just fifty-two days after we had begun. When our enemies and the surrounding nations heard about it, they were frightened and humiliated. They realized this work had been done with the help of our God.
My Season Of Ono!!!
In the Book Of Nehemiah we begin in Chapter one in the month of Chisleu ( November December) Winter
He was working at Shushan the Palace ( A Province of Persia) this was Cyrus favorite winter residence.

Nehemiah, while walking around the palace walls, overheard some persons conversing in the Hebrew language. Having ascertained that they had lately returned from Judea, he was informed by them, in answer to his eager enquiries, of the unfinished and desolate condition of Jerusalem, as well as the defenseless state of the returned exiles.

4. when I heard these words, that I sat down … and mourned … and fasted, and prayed—The recital deeply affected the patriotic feelings of this good man, and no comfort could he find but in earnest and protracted prayer, that God would favor the purpose, which he seems to have secretly formed, of asking the royal permission to go to Jerusalem.

I was the king’s cupbearer—This officer, in the ancient Oriental courts, was always a person of rank and importance; and, from the confidential nature of his duties and his frequent access to the royal presence, he possessed great influence.

Nehemiah wept and prayed for months
month of Chisleu is when he got the news & the month of Nisan when he spoke with the king..
There is a season to pray concerning a thing. and keep quiet..
It’s a season to make a request..

I pray, LORD God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments, 6 please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father’s house and I have sinned. 7 We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses. 8 Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations; 9 but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.’ 10 Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand. 11 O Lord, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name; and let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.”

I took up the Wine, and gave it unto the the king.. Now as the Cup bearer is like the secret service, you have to be willing to take a bullet or his case drink poisoned wine..
So when the king sees how sad he looks her needs to know bor whats up? Do you have something you need to tell me? Should i drink this stuff.
God gives Neh the kings full attention, i call this the elevator moment. You know how long an elevator ride up takes right!!
So if you had that moment with someone important to you that you might never get that chance what would you say?
Well Neh needed to help his people and only the King could help him do that!!
So he shared the problem and also the solution.. Repair the Walls.
And see the text says The kings wife was there, and i would like to suggest that it was Esther the jewish queen...
And the King gave him Permission & Provision..
permission required a time stamp.. How long will it take you to complete it. ( 6 months to a year) This showed favor and confidence in Nehemiah
provision: because he had permission provision was his portion, unlimited resources.. Letters where given to the governors beyond the river. And what ever supplies he needed to get that wall done he had all access...
The thing that qualifies a blessing in what your doing isn’t getting permission..
And i wouldn’t suggest not doing anything on your own.. Because God isn’t obligated to fund your foolishness..

The thing that validates your quest is the size of your adversary......
The thing that validates your quest is the size of your adversary......
big vision, big risk, big faith, big prayer life, big provision and yea big adversary.. Buttt nonthing is bigger than My God
Sanballat the Horonite : may Sin give him life’; or sin has vivified..
If Sanballat had influence with surrounding towns, he could greatly affect Jerusalem’s economy. Sanballat, in league with Tobiah and Shemaiah, opposed Nehemiah’s rebuilding of Jerusalem. If the Holy City regained prominence, it would erode the powers of the surrounding cities. The struggle appears to have been more political than racial or religious.
may Sin give him life’;
One of the greatest test of leadership is how you handle opposition, Nehemiah faced the usual tactics of the opposition, I call them the 3 R’s
Ridicule (,)
Resistance (,8)
Rumor (,)
Neh Modeled the right response to all three of these challenges
Relied On God
Respected the opposition (4.9 Nevertheless we made our prayer to our God, and because of them we set a watch against them day and night.)
9 Nevertheless we made our prayer to our God, and because of them we set a watch against them day and night.

Neh 6:
Nehemiah 6:1–2 NKJV
Now it happened when Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab, and the rest of our enemies heard that I had rebuilt the wall, and that there were no breaks left in it (though at that time I had not hung the doors in the gates), that Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together among the villages in the plain of Ono.” But they thought to do me harm.
See i have a policy that states If you refused to ride with m e on the bus,
You can’t ride with me in the limo...
See this was the next level setup but and they wanted to go to the plain of Ono to harm him…
But d double dare you to tell that devil...... Ono.. I’m not coming off my post… i’m not getting off that wall..I’m not going to get distracted..
Listen when your doing a work for the Lord you can’t let life distract you..
Nehemiah 6:3 NKJV
So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?”
See i have learned that i have only have issues with adversarial emps.

God is about to strengthen your hands!!
Nehemiah 6:9 NKJV
For they all were trying to make us afraid, saying, “Their hands will be weakened in the work, and it will not be done.” Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.
Neh 6.
God is going to finish what he started.
Nehemiah 6:15–16 NLT
So on October 2 the wall was finished—just fifty-two days after we had begun. When our enemies and the surrounding nations heard about it, they were frightened and humiliated. They realized this work had been done with the help of our God.
