13. THE HEALING OF A DEMONIAC ()
When Jesus comes, the power of Satan is broken.
Satan cannot stay in the presence of Christ
I. THE CHARACTER—
A. Possession—“Which had devils a long time”
(Demon possessed people are helpless)
B. Uncontrollable—“Wear no clothes”
(Satan controlled this man and his life)
C. Loneliness—“Lived in no house, but in the tombs”
(Satan only gives the bad things to people)
II.
THE CONFUSION—
A. Evil spirits recognize Jesus
(They know the power of Jesus)
B. Evil spirits respect Jesus
(They are fearful of Jesus, because He casts them out)
C. Evil spirits obey Jesus
(When He speaks, they must leave)
III.
THE CASTING—
A. Legion—This man was filled with many evil spirits
B. Cast out.
When Jesus spoke, Satan left
(When He speaks, all things must obey Him)
C. Destruction.
The evil spirits go into the swine, and the swine run into the water and they are drowned

A. The spreading—People told what happened
(We should tell others of Christ’s goodness to us)
