11. HEALING OF THE LEPERS ()
Most people would shy away from lepers, but Jesus showed that He loved all people.
He had time for every class of people
I. THE CHARACTERS—
A. The man—“Ten lepers”
(A person with skin disease—read ; )
B. The sickness—“Leprosy”
(A type of sin, only can be healed by God Himself)
C. The calling—“Have mercy on me”
(These lepers knew that Jesus was the healer)
II.
THE COMMAND—
A. The test of faith—“Go show thyself”
(Obedience and faith must work together)
B. Result of faith—“As they went, they were cleansed”
(Obedience is the first step to success)
III.
THE COMPLETENESS—
A. After healed—“Returned to give thanks”
(Cried out with loud voices glorifying God)
B. Humiliation—Fell at His feet, giving thanks
(More in the Bible about praise than prayer, yet so few people stop to give thanks to God)
C. Unthankfulness—“Where are the nine?”
(All anxious to get healed, but just one came back to give thanks)
D. Success—“Arise go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole”
(Perhaps the other nine lost their healing—we have no record)
Jesus is interested in you!
Regardless of your state in life, He is concerned about you
