Your Declaration Has a Purpose!

Luke
Luke 8:40 ESV
Now when Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
Jesus returned - from the region of Gerasenes
The crowd welcomed him!
The crowd
Welcomed: receive with warmth. Greet (someone arriving) in a glad, polite, or friendly way.
They were all waiting for him. Expecting him.
Expecting: regard (something) as likely to happen.
What were they expecting to happen?
Could it be that, people can treat you a certain why only because they expect something in return?
Luke 8:41 ESV
And there came a man named Jairus, who was a ruler of the synagogue. And falling at Jesus’ feet, he implored him to come to his house,
Out of the crowd, one man stands out!

Expect Vs. Need
Need: require (something) because it is essential or very important.
Falling at Jesus feet - A sign of humility and urgency!
Why did he have such a need!
Luke 8:42 ESV
for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. As Jesus went, the people pressed around him.
He had an only daughter, about twelve years of age.
She was dying!
Just think: Only daughter / In desperate need of Help…
I’m the chief Elder!
I’m used to being in charge and having all the answers!
The people pressed around him!

While he was still speaking, someone from the ruler’s house came and said, “Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the Teacher any more.” But Jesus on hearing this answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.”

Somenone from the ruler’s house came and said! “Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the teacher any more.”
Someone pressed through the crowd!
Words you don’t want to hear! “Your daughter is dead”
Jesus heard this and said, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.”
Believe what?
Believe in the declaration you just heard!!!

And when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared in the presence of all the people why she had touched him, and how she had been immediately healed.

Why she needed a touch
And how she had been changed/heal
When we open out mouth and Declare! We are giving someone something to believe in!!!!
Come out of Hiding!!!!
