Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Salt, light, farmer, student, soldier - runner
We are runners
And our life here on earth is a race
We must run well
We must live well
We must finish well
Why run?
Why run?
For victory and the prize(puraskaar)
For victory and the prize(puraskaar)
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

Daauda-maa dagurne-haru sabai dagurchhan, tara puraskaar-chaahi’ euTaale paau’chha, ke yo timi-harulaai thaaha chhaina? Timi-haru yasari nai dagur ki puraskaar paa-o.
25 Ani hoDabaaji-maa sa’garsha garne harek maanis-le sabai kuraa-maa aaphulaai basha-maa rakhdachha; Aba tini-haru saa’chchai naash bhaijane mukuT paaunaa-ka nimti yaso gardachhan, tara haami taa naash nahune mukuT-kaa nimti.
We do not run for showing others
We should not run for pride(garba)
We should run for the Lord
For victory
For the prize
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
14 KhrishT Yeshumaa Parameswarko uchcha bolaawaTa-ko puraskaarkaa nimti ma nishanaatira dugurchhu.
14 KhrishT Yeshumaa Parameswarko uchcha bolaawaTa-ko puraskaarkaa nimti ma nishanaatira dugurchhu.
What is the prize for the believer?
One day we will stand before the throne of God
We will stand before Jesus
We will give an account of our life
of our race
How did we run
Did we give our best
And our prize will come from him
He will give rewards or he will give nothing
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
The Bible gives us an illustration of our time of giving account
2 Haamro biswaaskaa karthaa ra siddha paarnuhune Yeshulaai herdai, jasle aaphno aghiltira raakhieko aananda-kaa nimti sharma-laai pani tuch-chha thaanera krusko shaasanaa sahanu-bhayo, ra Parameswarko si’haasanko daahine haat-paTTi basnu-bhayo.
In Matthew 25
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Yaskaa maalikle tyaslaai bhane: ‘Syaabaas! Asal ra biswaas-yogya daas! Timi thorai kuraa0haru0maa biswaas-yogya rahyaau, ma timi-laai derai kuraa-haru-mathi adhikaari banaaunechhu; Aaphnaa Prabhuko aananda-bhitra prabesh gara.”
Matthew
What is my hope?
I want Jesus to say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant”
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
How should we run?
How should we run?
1 cor
With our whole heart!
With our whole heart!
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
23 Ani je pani timi-haru gardachhaau, so maanis-haru-kaa nimti hoina, tara Prabhukaa nimti garejhai tan-man-le gara;
We should not run lazily!
Within the rules
Within the rules
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
36 Jasle putra-maathi biswaas gardachha, usanga ananta jiban junchha; Ani jasle putra-laai biswaas gardaina, tyasle jiban dekhne-chaina, tara Parameswar-ko krodh tyas-maathi rahanchha.
No shortcuts!
The right way
Or we will not receive a reward
Without weights
Without weights
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Yaskaaran yati Thulo saakshi-haruko baadal-le haami pani gheriekaa hunaale aao, harek bhaar ra paap jasle haamilaai sajilai jeldachha, pansaa-aau, ra dhiraj-sanga haamraa saamu raakhieko tyo daauD daguraau,
What is a weight?
Whatever holds us back from God’s will
Sometimes it is a friend
Sometimes it is a habit
A false belief
We should throw these weights
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
13 Bhai-haru-ho, maile pakrisakeko chhu, bhani ma aaphno bishayamaa samjhanna; Tara yo euTaa kuraa ma gardachhu - pachhiltira-kaa kuraa-haru birsera aaghiltirakaa kuraa-haru-tira lamkadai
14 KhrishT Yeshumaa Parameswarko uchcha bolaawaTa-ko puraskaarkaa nimti ma nishanaatira dugurchhu.
Do not waste energy
Use all our energy for the race!
With patience
With patience
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Yaskaaran yati Thulo saakshi-haruko baadal-le haami pani gheriekaa hunaale aao, harek bhaar ra paap hasle haamilaai sajilai jeldachha, pansaa-aau, ra dhiaj-sanga haamraa saamu raakhieko tyo daauD daguraau,
The race is long
Our life is not just one day
Don’t quit
Run with patience!
Where should we run?
Where should we run?
Run to Christ
Run to Christ
You cannot find victory in life without Christ!
First, run to Christ
We see many in the Bible that ran to Christ
But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
Tara TaaDhaa-baaTa Yeshu-laai dekhera tyo duguryo ra uhaa’laai danDabat garyo,
Tara TaaDhaa-baaTa Yeshu-laai dekhera tyo duguryo ra uhaa’laai danDabat garyo,
And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.
Ani bhida-harule uhaa’-haru-laai daa’dai garnu-bhaeko dekhe, ra dheraile uhaa’laai chinihaale, ani sabai shahar-haru-baaTa paidalai tyataa-tira dagure, ra uhaa’-haru-laai uchhine, ra huaa’kahaa’ bhelaa bhai-haale.
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
Feet that be swift in running to mischief,
TushTa yukti rachne man, hataar-sanga kharaabi-tira dagurne paau-haru;
Run to the finish line
Run to the finish line
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Kinakin ma argajhai’ chaDaaina laageko chhu, ra mero bidaaiko belaa aai-pugeko chha. 8 Aba upraanta meraa laagi dhaarmiktaa-kaa mukuT raakhieko chhu, jo-chaahi’ dharmik nyaayakartaa Prabhule tyas din malaai dinu-hunechha; Ra maile maatra hoina, tara uhaa’ko aagaman-laai prem garne sabailaai pani dinu-hunechha.
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
Tara yi kuraa-haru-madhye kunaile pani malaai bichalit paardaina, na taa ma aaphno praan-laai nai aaphnaa laagi priya Thaandachhu, meraa daauD ra sewaa aananda-saath puraa garna sa’ku bhanera; Jun sewaa maile Parameswarko anugrahako susamaachaarko gabahi dinakaa nimti prabhu Yeshu-baaTa paaeko chhu.
Finish well!
Many start well
But prizes are not given for starting well
If we want the prize
If we want the victory
We need to finish well
Let’s be good runners for the Lord!
