This sermon on chapters 3 and 4 of the book of Ruth completes our four week series. The book of Ruth exists to display the very character of God thru the characters of the story. This is not a “romantic comedy”, rather it is a very different kind of love story. It is not primarily about the romantic relationship between a man and a woman. It is not even, in the essential case, about the character traits to which we should aspire. God, Himself, is the hero of the book of Ruth.
