God with Us
The blessing in the Garden of Eden was “God with us.”
Gen 3:8 - walking in the garden in the cool of the day.
The mechanics of the Sanctuary was “God with us.”
Ex 25:8 - build me a sanctuary that I may dwell among them.
The promise of Immanuel was “God with us.”
Isa 7:14 - a virgin shall conceive… Matt 1:23 - Immanuel (God with Us)
The hope of the Second Coming is “God with us.”
Rev 21:3 - now the dwelling of God is with men and he will live among them…
Christ in Us
Christ in Us
that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
The presence of Christ in our lives fundamentally transforms us.
It strengthens our inner being.
It roots us and establishes us in love.
It fills us with all of the goodness of God.
Rev 3:20 - behold, I stand at the door and knock.

Imagine the “Presence of Christ” in today’s world!
- miracles, clear teachings with modern illustrations, whole communities healed, where sinners feel safe and loved, where outsiders feel accepted, FAITH, HOPE, LOVE
And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

We are the Body of Christ, and we are maturing together. (v. 12-13)

As the Body of Christ, we are to have his values and priorities.
Our church must become a life-giving source of faith, hope, and love.
The Body of Christ, the Aroma of Christ, Ambassadors of Christ.
Titus 2:10 - … so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive!

“You may be the only Christ some people will ever meet.”
