Please pray that your church would hold on to the truth.
Almighty God, help us to be a church body which regards Your truth as...
1. Perfect.
1. Perfect.
"The instruction of the Lord is perfect, renewing one’s life...” (v)
— Thank God that He has not left us guessing, but has provided His perfect, trustworthy word so that we can truly know Him.
— Pray that as our church gathers around the Scriptures, we would have our souls refreshed as we all encounter the living God.
2. Radiant.
2. Radiant.
Thank the Lord that His radiant word makes “the eyes light up.” (v8).
— Thank the Lord, that by the power of the Holy Spirit, the pages of Scripture show us who Jesus is and what He has done.
— It’s by being taught the truths from God’s radiant word that people are changed — so please pray that all who teach (elders parents/grandparents) in the church would remember this.
— Ask God to use our words this week to enlighten many eyes.
3. Firm.
3. Firm.
In a world where the moral goalposts seem to shift often, than God that His words endure “forever” and “are reliable and altogether righteous.” (v9).

— Pray that we would all firmly hold to what the Scriptures says is right and wise in the midst of this changing culture.
4. Sweet.
4. Sweet.
God’s ordinances are “sweeter than honey, dripping from a honeycomb.” (v10).
— Think of what we most like to eat — then pray that our church would love feeding on God’s word more than us love feeding on food that perishes.
— Pray that learning Scripture would never become a dry, academic exercise, but a delightful, sweet treat.
5. A Warning.
5. A Warning.
The Psalmist asks, “Who perceives his unintentional sins?” (v12).
— Pray that our church wouldn’t go out from meeting together and ignore, or forget, what we’ve heard.
— Instead, pray that the warnings from God’s Word would change how we live (v11).
— Pray that the Scripture would be help to show us our unintentional sins and that God’s Word would turn us away from our sin.
— Pray that we will be “blameless and cleansed from blatant rebellion.” (v13).
