The mind of Christ exemplified-

Verses 2:19-29
Paul builds up on what the life of the believers should look like-
Having the mind of Christ is shown not just in our speech, but in our action and untimely the lives we live
Timothy- Verse 20-21 ‘For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus’ (vv. 20–21)
These words should be like a splash of cold water to our faces!
What would Paul say about us?
Would he look at our church and say “all seek their own, not the things of Christ Jesus?”
Would he look at our lives and say “they are ones who have adopted the minds of Christ, and live in humility.”
Timothy was an excellent example of one who was selfless, more concerned about others than Himself.
Timothy stood out as a rare gem in a world of Self-seekers- He is contrast to what
Paul wrote in 1:15,17
The Philippians knew Timothy from Paul’s visit to them on his second missionary journey
Right after seeing the man from Macedonia Paul takes Timothy with Him - Acts Chapter 16-

What do we know about Timothy?

in we see that Timothy’s mother was a believer and a women of faith.
Timothy was a man of faith

I recall your sincere faith that first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and now, I am convinced, is in you also.
Timothy lived by faith and walked by faith
from the very start this young man was well spoken of -
a man full of the character of Christ that Paul wrote about in the beginning of the chapter
