John 10:10 NIV
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
John 10:7–13 NIV
7 Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. 11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13 The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
John 10:7-

How to maintain consistency as a Christ follower.

How to maintain consistency as a Christ follower.
We all love consistency
Im not talking about the mundane
What I am saying is a healthy consistency
Things that we want consistency in;
flying in a plane - We want to know that plane has successfully flown 100s of times
Surgeons - If the surgeon comes to you and says,”yes, we’ve lost 5 out of 6 in this procedure”
Payday
The problem with inconsistency is is does not allow a team, marriage, schooling, promotions to develop.
Just the way we want consistency in many area of our life, we NEED consistency in our walk with God.
Emotions are a beautiful thing. They move us. Motivate us. strengthen us.
In my opinion you can’t rely on your emotions to remain consistent.
Now God created us to “feel”, enjoy, laugh, cry there is nothing wrong with all of that.
However when it comes to spiritual maturity, when you come down from the mountain, ride that emotion as long as you want but don’t rely on your emotions to carry your walk with God.
1 Corinthians 10:12 NIV
So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!
When we get to a comfortable spot in our walk with God, that is a very vulnerable spot to be in and the enemy will try to capitalize on it.
My text is

Jesus uses seven metaphorical “I am” statements to define His role as Savior and Messiah (see note on 4:26). These sayings also carry strong overtones of being claims to divinity. He identifies Himself as the bread of life (vv. 35, 48, 51), the light of the world (8:12; 9:5), the gate for the sheep (10:7, 9), the good shepherd (10:11, 14), the resurrection and the life (11:25), the way and the truth and the life (14:6), and the true vine (15:1).
