TS: Last week, we examined where Mystery Babylon, the one world religion of the last days, was judged. The AC will use them as an ally and then turn on them.
Tonight, we turn to cpt 18
The fifth bowl (16:10) will have plunged the world into darkness. Against that backdrop, the sudden, blazing appearance of another angel will certainly rivet the world’s attention on him and his message of judgment on Babylon (cf. 14:8).

Commercial and government center of the world.
God has long ago decreed judgment on Bablyon
20 It will never be inhabited or lived in for all generations; no Arab will pitch his tent there; no shepherds will make their flocks lie down there.
21 But wild animals will lie down there, and their houses will be full of howling creatures; there ostriches will dwell, and there wild goats will dance.
22 Hyenas will cry in its towers, and jackals in the pleasant palaces; its time is close at hand and its days will not be prolonged.
Isaiah 13:20-22
Political and corporate leaders are in league with Babylon and its worldwide system of commerce.
8 Another angel, a second, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality.”
2 with whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and with the wine of whose sexual immorality the dwellers on earth have become drunk.”

39 “Therefore wild beasts shall dwell with hyenas in Babylon, and ostriches shall dwell in her. She shall never again have people, nor be inhabited for all generations.
Jeremiah
25 “Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, declares the Lord, which destroys the whole earth; I will stretch out my hand against you, and roll you down from the crags, and make you a burnt mountain.
26 No stone shall be taken from you for a corner and no stone for a foundation, but you shall be a perpetual waste, declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 51:
37 and Babylon shall become a heap of ruins, the haunt of jackals, a horror and a hissing, without inhabitant.

With those predictions in mind, realize that ancient Babylon was been rebuilt and its ruins used to build other cities.
Seleucia, Ctesiphon, Amlaiden, Kufa, Hilla and Bagdad.
Many see this as indicating Babylon will be rebuilt only to face final cataclysmic destruction.
The world will look to Babylon as its leader
It will be the seat of trade and commerce
What does say about Babylon and international trade?
11 And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn for her, since no one buys their cargo anymore,
12 cargo of gold, silver, jewels, pearls, fine linen, purple cloth, silk, scarlet cloth, all kinds of scented wood, all kinds of articles of ivory, all kinds of articles of costly wood, bronze, iron and marble,
13 cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, frankincense, wine, oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and slaves, that is, human souls.
14 “The fruit for which your soul longed has gone from you, and all your delicacies and your splendors are lost to you, never to be found again!”
15 The merchants of these wares, who gained wealth from her, will stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,
16 “Alas, alas, for the great city that was clothed in fine linen, in purple and scarlet, adorned with gold, with jewels, and with pearls!
Foundations of This:
the world is becoming much more connected.
Just this week, political turmoil in Italy shook our stock market
EU has a common currency
Ripples in one nations economics shake others
Globalists are pushing for International laws which override nations.

Though it will enjoy brief prosperity, the final end of the one world government will be complete.
Notice the following verses:
8 For this reason her plagues will come in a single day, death and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”

9 We would have healed Babylon, but she was not healed. Forsake her, and let us go each to his own country, for her judgment has reached up to heaven and has been lifted up even to the skies.

8 Suddenly Babylon has fallen and been broken; wail for her! Take balm for her pain; perhaps she may be healed.

It will become completely desolate and with God’s judgment comes a mighty blow against the global government and economy of the AC.
Notice heaven’s response:
20 Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, for God has given judgment for you against her!”
Why did this happen?
23 and the light of a lamp will shine in you no more, and the voice of bridegroom and bride will be heard in you no more, for your merchants were the great ones of the earth, and all nations were deceived by your sorcery.
24 And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on earth.”

4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues;
Tribulation saints will have a forewarning to get out of town.,
In , the warning is right before God’s judgment
However, today, there is still an aplication
This warning reminds me of:
9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people—
10 not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.
11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.
12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?
13 God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”
14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
15 What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?
16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,
18 and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”
We are to live a separated life
There is a limit to how close we can be with worldly people
live differently
Live by different purposes.
This drives church discipline
This limits our involvement in the world.
Conclusion:
Conclusion:
In 17 and 18, we have seen that God puts and end to the world system by judging both the false religion and the commercial center.
Though we still live in the world, we must see it all as temporary. Live in the world, but be separate. Let God’s priorities be your priorities.
