Roadblocks are things we have to conquer

Anxiety

Ex: Doctor says you are pre-diabetic, you tell people it will be a matter of time before I go on insulin.
This is not the posture we should take

¶ the spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?
Statistics says that 1 out of 2 persons in this room have been abused.

These are traps that the enemy sets to create strongholds in or lives, but we are going to get free of them today.
Introduction
There has been a dramatic increase in the public’s awareness of and concern about various forms of abuse, primarily family abuse. Most of this is physical and sexual assault as well as psychological and emotional abuse against women and children. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation one out of every two American women is beaten during her marriage; 28 percent are battered at least once a year. A woman is battered every fifteen seconds. Battering is the single greatest cause of injury to women in the U.S., more than accidents, rapes and muggings combined. Over 70 percent of men who batter their wives also physically or sexually assault their children. The vast majority of women who are beaten, raped or murdered are assaulted by someone with whom they are intimate. By contrast, men who are beaten or murdered are assaulted by total strangers. Abuse of any type occurs when someone has power over another and uses that power to hurt.
Physical abuse means that someone exercises physical power over another and causes physical wounds.
Sexual abuse means that someone exercises sexual power over another and causes sexual wounds.
Spiritual abuse means that someone in a position of spiritual authority uses that position to inflict spiritual wounds. —Complete Book of Everyday Christianity, The
Sexual abuse is a common form of abuse for women.
Sexual abuse is such a destructive thing.
It brings guilt and shame
It is the trick of the devil and never the fault of the abused.
Unresolved feelings live us open and bound to depression
Pain we transfer to others
Addiction
Addiction is characterized by the repeated use of substances or behaviors despite clear evidence of morbidity secondary to such use.

2. Being around immoral people
People who you know drain you spiritually
3. Un Godly television
Soap operas, prime time pornography: desparate housewives, ungodly movies
( rooting for the girl to get someone else’s husband-adultery)
(rooting for the boy and the girl to have sex-fornacation )
4. Unhealthy relationships -females with unhealthy relationships

Agenda
Wanting to control everything around us
Our families, job the church
Our hand must be in everything………………………….
If we are not careful we move from control to manipulation
Will us all sorts of tools such as deceit, lies to manipulate people
Focus on your Goal
