The CONCEPT Of TEACHING is the WORD- yārāh, "to cast": The teaching idea from which the law was derived is expressed by a verb which means "to throw," "to cast as an arrow or lot." It is also used of thrusting the hand forth to point out or show clearly.

NAOMI-EXECEPTIONAL TEACHER & MENTOR

Naomi is a great example of a women whose purpose and destiny was to impact someone’s life

(KJV) 1 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons. 2 And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there. 3 And Elimelech Naomi's husband died; and she was left, and her two sons. 4 And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years. 5 And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.

A. THE STORY BEGINS WITH NAOMI, HER HUSBAND & SONS, because of the famine in her she leaves-Bethlehem Judah and goes to Moab.

B. HER SONS NAME means, “Puny & UNHEALTHY”- they were sickly

C. ( A SICKLY CHILD TAKES A LOT OUT OF YOU; Two is worse

****NAOMI and her husband went in search of Food for their family and their boys still died.

HER SONS MARRIED WOMEN WHO WERE STRONG WOMEN-BUT THEY STILL DIED

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN THERE? DONE ALL YOU COULD

2. CHILD STILL WENT ON DRUGS

3. STILL LOST YOUR JOB, LOST YOUR HOUSE

TOUCH SOMEONE AND SAY

There is a purpose for your pain

Her husband and her two sons had died.

She was in a place of anguish-agony & suffering

Place of so much hurt and despair- kind of pain you do not tell people about because you couldn’t explain it to them.

Moab was called Washpot- which means garbage can

SHE DECIDES to RETURN to Bethlehem-Judah meant House of bread & praise

---How many times have we left the place of blessing only to find out we should have stayed where we were?

1. Naomi lost everything but decided she would return

2. She knew if she got back to the place where she could feel God, the place that she knew God, everything would be alright

SHE HAD TO GET BACK TO THE WORD & PRAISE

IF YOU EVER GET TO FAR JUST COME BACK TO THE WORD & PRAISE!!!!!!

RUTH CLAVE TO HER, what makes some women clave while others will leave---RUTH saw something in her that she did not have.

(Could have been her strength, could have been her loyalty, we know she admired her love for God) GOD SHALL BE MY GOD

GOD HAD A PURPOSE in her pain

God used her to save a girl that was in a garbage can

---How many young women have you walked by, saying I am to busy

God will bless you overwhelmingly for sowing in someone else’s life.

DON’T LET PAIN MAKE YOU BITTER

(KJV) 19 So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi? 20 And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. 21 I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?

THEY Did NOT EVEN RECOGNIZE HER!

BOAZ is the kinsmen redeemer, by levirate law(Levitcal Law)—If a man died his nearest of kin would marry the widow and have children for the name of his dead brother.

HE is sent by GOD to redeem (buy back, liberate, emancipate) RUTH and NAOMI

HE is A TYPE and SHADOW of JESUS- who delivered us liberated us

In the story Ruth, asks Boaz to spread his skirt over her as a sign of intended redemption: She wanted him to symbolically cover her.

That’s what God has done for us: He covers us, even when we do wrong

(KJV) 6 And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live. 7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare. 8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine. 9 Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.

That is what Jesus did for us, he cleansed us- then he anointed us

WHAT EVER YOU ARE GOING THROUGH IN YOUR LIFE, GOD HAS A PLAN AND A PURPOSE-

EVEN IF YOU BROUGHT IT ON YOUR SELF HE WILL USE IT TO BLESS YOU

THE WOMEN THAT SAW NAOMI WHEN SHE RETURNED ALSO WITNESSED THAT GOD BROUGHT HER FULL CIRCLE

The SAME PEOPLE WHO Saw YOU CRYING Will SEE YOU REJOICE

(KJV) 4 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south. 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. 6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

TELL SOMEBODY I WILL BE BACK

THE SAME PEOPLE THAT SAW YOU COME OUT EMPTY WILL SEE YOU RETURN FULL

( She nursed that child just like her own, he was an ancestor of Jesus Christ). What a glorious end to a bitter beginning.
