For us who grew up in the 1960’s and 70’s, we are familiar with stories of WWII Japanese soldiers continuing to fight, even after Japan had been defeated. TV sitcoms, like Gillian’s island, portrayed soldiers in the Pacific taking prisoners and rage war with all their enemies. To teenagers and those born after the 1980’s this sounds a TV show instead of reality. In the advancing world of technology, the idea that a war could continue to rage, without the participants’ knowledge that victory had been won, seems unlikely, if not laughable.
The reason an unseen war with unknowing combatants seems ludicrous is because society’s arrogance refuses to exegete reality from history. We have grown so intelligent, that we now believe we can determine truth for ourselves without allowing history to warn us of the mistakes of the past.
History tells us that on August 15, 1945, Emperor Hirohito made his first radio address to Japan. The Emperor announced that Japan had been defeated by the allied forces. But for a small band of soldiers the war was not over. These soldiers either refused to believe the news, or poor communications prevented them from receiving a clear message. Bad communications and rejection of the truth resulted in a number of Japanese soldiers fighting for years to come.
On March 9, 1974, Lieutenant Hiroo Onoda, the last Japanese soldier, surrendered, after receiving orders from His government.
reveals an age old war that wages on, even after the victory has been won. An unseen spiritual war rages in the world today.
You may not believe the battle between good and evil exist beyond the people and ideas, with whom you disagree. But that does not mean it is not truth.
You may not have received clear communication about spiritual warfare, but that does make it less truth.
The everyday battles and bad things happening to good people, may have convinced you that the victory is not won, but an unseen victory does not prove defeat.
communicates clear a summary of Salvation History. The war rages, but victory is won. We need to know the characters, and history proves we can trust God to keep His promises. Three Historical Truths that communicates that Victory is Won, even if the war between good and evil still rages.

We can trust the God of History to Keep His promises.

The Woman Clothed in sun and with the moon under her feet and crowned with twelve stars symbolically represents the OT community of faith—the faithful redeemed remnant of Israel. In verse 17, the rest of her offspring represents the church.
Genesis 37:9–11 NASB95
Now he had still another dream, and related it to his brothers, and said, “Lo, I have had still another dream; and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” He related it to his father and to his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have had? Shall I and your mother and your brothers actually come to bow ourselves down before you to the ground?” His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the saying in mind.
The Son:
Genesis 3:15 NASB95
And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”
The serpent couched:
Cain to kill Able.
Pharoah to kill all the Babies, in Moses day.
Saul to try and kill David.
Haman to kill all the Jews, in the days of Ester’s
Herod to Kill the babies in Jesus’ day.
The Jews to kill Jesus during His ministry.
Satan
and Satan desires to kill God’s Children in “these last days.”
But God plan and promises were filled in His covenant promises to Eve, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, and in these last days in Jesus Christ.

We can Trust in Absolute Victory Christ that Accomplished on the Cross

We can Trust God will Protect His Children, from Satan’s Attacks.
