Exodus 4:27–31 NASB95

27 Now the Lord said to Aaron, “Go to meet Moses in the wilderness.” So he went and met him at the mountain of God and kissed him. 28 Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord with which He had sent him, and all the signs that He had commanded him to do. 29 Then Moses and Aaron went and assembled all the elders of the sons of Israel; 30 and Aaron spoke all the words which the Lord had spoken to Moses. He then performed the signs in the sight of the people. 31 So the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord was concerned about the sons of Israel and that He had seen their affliction, then they bowed low and worshiped.

I. A Good Friend ENCOURAGES You in life’s journey.

A friend loves at all times. Aaron didn’t back away from the difficult mission. He didn’t love Moses in the abstract.

I love them in the abstract, but not in the concrete.

Friends meet you in the real. Listen, Facebook, instagram, twitter can be great tools to keep up with people. But to really connect with people you need to meet them IN REAL LIFE!

II. A FRIEND CARES ENOUGH TO LISTEN TO YOU

Aaron got caught up with Moses life and then Aaron joined up with Moses.

III. A GOOD FRIEND WILL HELP YOU FINISH STRONG.

Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 NASB95

9 Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. 10 For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up. 11 Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.
