One Year Ago
One Year Ago
This past week and the coming week mark one year of incredibly emotionally intense and exhausting time I think I have ever experienced
June 21 (this past Thursday) is the summer solstice… but now also marks the early morning my Dad took his last breath in this life. His almost 80 years is characterized by the psalmist as a full life…
June 23 (yesterday) marked the day of his funeral and burial.
The finality and separation that comes with death is a stark reminder of consequences of sin. We miss him… He leaves a hole in our lives, particularly for Mom.
Death is and will continue to be a reality of life on planet earth until Jesus Christ returns and conquers death and Satan once and for all. Until then, none of us is exempt of death… and we don’t know when that time will come for us.
On the day of Dad’s funeral, I received word that Sheldon Bacher had been in a serious car accident and in critical condition in Pittsburgh
He was on his way to Baltimore where the family was going to surprise his mom for her birthday…
Monday, June 26, Sheldon passed into eternity… this life over… a pilot, he was aspiring to go onto the mission field… 25 years was a full life for Sheldon
In the weeks leading up to this point, Lovell King (Hadassah’s oldest brother) was battling cancer
As you recall, Carlin & Hadassah were making plans to move back to AR… and wrapping up his time in the accounting department at Choice Books
Lovell was married to Yvonne less than a year
On Tuesday, June 27, Lovell King took his final breath in this life… 39 years was a full life for Lovell
In a period of less than a week, three godly men… in very different phases of life… were ushered from this life into eternity
Their lives were over… they were completed… they had used/invested/spent the hours and days God had alotted to them… it was finite…
Based on the choices they made throughout that finite time they had on earth... they will stand before God at the final judgement and give account to God
Dad was given 79 years… Lovell 39 years (1/2 of what Dad was given)… and Sheldon 25 years (less than 1/3 of what Dad was given)
Yet, they all three will be held accountable for they way they lived the life they had…
I am glad I can say that I have confidence that all three of these men were faithful disciples of Jesus Christ!
Life is Short
Life is Short
Whether we live to 80 and beyond or not, a common phrase I hear is that life is short
Certainly, 25 and 39 is much shorter than 79, but dad (and most of you seniors) talked about how fast time went and how short life has been
Scripture uses several word pictures to give us sense how brief… how short… our lives really are
James describes life as a mist… or fog… or vapor
(KJV) Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
(ESV) Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
Have you every considered what happens to the fog early in the morning?? It is visible… it is gorgeous… it can make driving challenging or even dangerous because of the limited visibility… and then it’s gone!
Where did it go? How could it be so visible and a short time later there is no trace of it?
This is a picture of our lives… we are here now, but in a very short time, we are gone!
(KJV) For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? Most of us enjoy a cup of hot coffee or tea… especially when it is cool or cold outside
James 4:13-
When we see steam off a hot cup of coffee (or tea) it should be a stark reminder of the brevity of our life… our life is like that steam
it appears for a time… and then it simply disappears
We have no assurance of tomorrow… next week… next year… or 10-20 years from now
We have today… we have now… we have this moment… How will we live the life we have been given?
David penned a Psalm that also brings perspective to our lives
(ESV) “O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am!
Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before you.
Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath! Selah
Surely a man goes about as a shadow!
Surely for nothing they are in turmoil; man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!
Psalm 39:
man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!
Lessons from Solomon
Lessons from Solomon
As I have been contemplating the brevity of our lives, I have also been reading about the life of Solomon in my daily chronological Bible
It would appear Solomon had a lot of things in his favor…
… his Dad is described as “a man after God’s own heart”
His Dad is described as “a man after God’s own heart”
His Dad was king of Israel and Solomon was heir to the throne
God was pleased when Solomon asked for wisdom
Solomon was chosen to build the temple (rather than his father)
Solomon was the wisest man that ever lived
Solomon was the wealthiest and most powerful man alive at that time
David gave Solomon wise advice before he died
(ESV) When David’s time to die drew near, he commanded Solomon his son, saying, “I am about to go the way of all the earth. Be strong, and show yourself a man, and keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn, that the Lord may establish his word that he spoke concerning me, saying, ‘If your sons pay close attention to their way, to walk before me in faithfulness with all their heart and with all their soul, you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.’
Be strong… show yourself a man
Keep the charge of the Lord God… walking in his ways… keeping his commandments
God had told David that his children are to...
… pay close attention to their way
… walk before God in faithfulness WITH all their heart and soul
(ESV) And the Lord made Solomon very great in the sight of all Israel and bestowed on him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
(ESV) And the Lord made Solomon very great in the sight of all Israel and bestowed on him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
(ESV) Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father, only he sacrificed and made offerings at the high places. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place. Solomon used to offer a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said, “Ask what I shall give you.” And Solomon said, “You have shown great and steadfast love to your servant David my father, because he walked before you in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart toward you.

And you have kept for him this great and steadfast love and have given him a son to sit on his throne this day. And now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of David my father, although I am but a little child. I do not know how to go out or come in. And your servant is in the midst of your people whom you have chosen, a great people, too many to be numbered or counted for multitude. Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?”

It pleased the Lord that Solomon had asked this. And God said to him, “Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life or riches or the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern what is right, behold, I now do according to your word. Behold, I give you a wise and discerning mind, so that none like you has been before you and none like you shall arise after you. I give you also what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that no other king shall compare with you, all your days. And if you will walk in my ways, keeping my statutes and my commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”

(ESV) And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding beyond measure, and breadth of mind like the sand on the seashore, so that Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the people of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all other men, wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol, and his fame was in all the surrounding nations. He also spoke 3,000 proverbs, and his songs were 1,005. He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of the wall. He spoke also of beasts, and of birds, and of reptiles, and of fish. And people of all nations came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and from all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.

(ESV) Now as Solomon finished offering all this prayer and plea to the Lord, he arose from before the altar of the Lord, where he had knelt with hands outstretched toward heaven. And he stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying, “Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us, that he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his rules, which he commanded our fathers.
Let these words of mine, with which I have pleaded before the Lord, be near to the Lord our God day and night, and may he maintain the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel, as each day requires, that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God; there is no other. Let your heart therefore be wholly true to the Lord our God, walking in his statutes and keeping his commandments, as at this day.”

(ESV) As soon as Solomon had finished building the house of the Lord and the king’s house and all that Solomon desired to build, the Lord appeared to Solomon a second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon. And the Lord said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your plea, which you have made before me. I have consecrated this house that you have built, by putting my name there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time. And as for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, with integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you, and keeping my statutes and my rules, then I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.’
But if you turn aside from following me, you or your children, and do not keep my commandments and my statutes that I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them, then I will cut off Israel from the land that I have given them, and the house that I have consecrated for my name I will cast out of my sight, and Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples. And this house will become a heap of ruins. Everyone passing by it will be astonished and will hiss, and they will say, ‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’ Then they will say, ‘Because they abandoned the Lord their God who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt and laid hold on other gods and worshiped them and served them. Therefore the Lord has brought all this disaster on them.’ ”
Now as Solomon finished offering all this prayer and plea to the Lord, he arose from before the altar of the Lord, where he had knelt with hands outstretched toward heaven. (ESV) Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to test him with hard questions. She came to Jerusalem with a very great retinue, with camels bearing spices and very much gold and precious stones. And when she came to Solomon, she told him all that was on her mind. And Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing hidden from the king that he could not explain to her. And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, the food of his table, the seating of his officials, and the attendance of his servants, their clothing, his cupbearers, and his burnt offerings that he offered at the house of the Lord, there was no more breath in her.
As soon as Solomon had finished building the house of the Lord and the king’s house and all that Solomon desired to build, the Lord appeared to Solomon a second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon. Therefore the Lord has brought all this disaster on them.’ ”
And she said to the king, “The report was true that I heard in my own land of your words and of your wisdom, but I did not believe the reports until I came and my own eyes had seen it. And behold, the half was not told me. Your wisdom and prosperity surpass the report that I heard. Happy are your men! Happy are your servants, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom! Blessed be the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and set you on the throne of Israel! Because the Lord loved Israel forever, he has made you king, that you may execute justice and righteousness.” Then she gave the king 120 talents of gold, and a very great quantity of spices and precious stones. Never again came such an abundance of spices as these that the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to test him with hard questions. She came to Jerusalem with a very great retinue, with camels bearing spices and very much gold and precious stones. And when she came to Solomon, she told him all that was on her mind. (ESV) Now King Solomon loved many foreign women, along with the daughter of Pharaoh: Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Sidonian, and Hittite women, from the nations concerning which the Lord had said to the people of Israel, “You shall not enter into marriage with them, neither shall they with you, for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods.” Solomon clung to these in love. He had 700 wives, who were princesses, and 300 concubines. And his wives turned away his heart. For when Solomon was old his wives turned away his heart after other gods, and his heart was not wholly true to the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father.
For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. So Solomon did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and did not wholly follow the Lord, as David his father had done. Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for Molech the abomination of the Ammonites, on the mountain east of Jerusalem. And so he did for all his foreign wives, who made offerings and sacrificed to their gods.

(ESV) And the Lord was angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods. But he did not keep what the Lord commanded. Therefore the Lord said to Solomon, “Since this has been your practice and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes that I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you and will give it to your servant. Yet for the sake of David your father I will not do it in your days, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son. However, I will not tear away all the kingdom, but I will give one tribe to your son, for the sake of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem that I have chosen.”

Solomon started well… he started strong… he had a heart and motivation that pleased God
He asked God for wisdom above all else… God gave it to him
He built an extravagantly beautiful and luxurious temple… likely worth more than $100 billion today
He dedicated it to God with a beautiful prayer… I believe was from the heart
God came to him a second time reminding him to keep following God
Solomon’s reign over Israel extended 40 years
The temple took seven years to build
Scripture would indicate that he was faithfully serving the Lord the first 20+ years of his reign (we don’t know exactly when he started making poor decisions)
The latter part of his reign was very different than the first part...
He allowed his love for “foreign women” whom he married to turn his heart away from God
They ruined his life… caused the kingdom to be divided
Question for us to consider:
What decisions am I making today that may turn my heart away from God?
What do I love so much that it could lure my heart away from God?
Is there anything in my life that hinders my heart from being “wholly true” to God?

One of the perplexing aspects to Solomon’s life is the apparent emptiness he experienced
Ecclesiastes is an honest, yet despairing evaluation of his life
Vanity of vanities… all is vanity - is repeated multiple times
(ESV) The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem. Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity.
Solomon had access to everything he could have wanted… nothing was beyond his reach… yet he wasn’t satisfied-he knew there was something more
In the end, Solomon recognizes the reality of a longing for more in anything/everything… other than the fear of God / walking with God
Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity.
The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher,
vanity of vanities! All is vanity.
(ESV) I the Preacher have been king over Israel in Jerusalem. And I applied my heart to seek and to search out by wisdom all that is done under heaven. It is an unhappy business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with. I have seen everything that is done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and a striving after wind.
What is crooked cannot be made straight, and what is lacking cannot be counted.

I said in my heart, “I have acquired great wisdom, surpassing all who were over Jerusalem before me, and my heart has had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.” And I applied my heart to know wisdom and to know madness and folly. I perceived that this also is but a striving after wind.

(ESV) I said in my heart, “Come now, I will test you with pleasure; enjoy yourself.” But behold, this also was vanity. I said of laughter, “It is mad,” and of pleasure, “What use is it?” I searched with my heart how to cheer my body with wine—my heart still guiding me with wisdom—and how to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was good for the children of man to do under heaven during the few days of their life. I made great works. I built houses and planted vineyards for myself. I made myself gardens and parks, and planted in them all kinds of fruit trees. I made myself pools from which to water the forest of growing trees. I bought male and female slaves, and had slaves who were born in my house. I had also great possessions of herds and flocks, more than any who had been before me in Jerusalem. I also gathered for myself silver and gold and the treasure of kings and provinces. I got singers, both men and women, and many concubines, the delight of the sons of man.

So I became great and surpassed all who were before me in Jerusalem. Also my wisdom remained with me. And whatever my eyes desired I did not keep from them. I kept my heart from no pleasure, for my heart found pleasure in all my toil, and this was my reward for all my toil. Then I considered all that my hands had done and the toil I had expended in doing it, and behold, all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was nothing to be gained under the sun.

(ESV) What has a man from all the toil and striving of heart with which he toils beneath the sun? For all his days are full of sorrow, and his work is a vexation. Even in the night his heart does not rest. This also is vanity.
(ESV) He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity. When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes? Sweet is the sleep of a laborer, whether he eats little or much, but the full stomach of the rich will not let him sleep.
(ESV) When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on earth, how neither day nor night do one’s eyes see sleep, then I saw all the work of God, that man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun. However much man may toil in seeking, he will not find it out. Even though a wise man claims to know, he cannot find it out.

(ESV) Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment. Remove vexation from your heart, and put away pain from your body, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”; before the sun and the light and the moon and the stars are darkened and the clouds return after the rain, in the day when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men are bent, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those who look through the windows are dimmed, and the doors on the street are shut—when the sound of the grinding is low, and one rises up at the sound of a bird, and all the daughters of song are brought low— they are afraid also of what is high, and terrors are in the way; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper drags itself along, and desire fails, because man is going to his eternal home, and the mourners go about the streets— before the silver cord is snapped, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is shattered at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern, and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher; all is vanity.

(ESV) The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.

Solomon lived the latter part of his life pursuing his loves… his desires… whatever he believed would bring satisfaction and enjoyment
“O Lord, make me know my end
and what is the measure of my days;
let me know how fleeting I am!
Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths,
and my lifetime is as nothing before you.
Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath! Selah
Surely a man goes about as a shadow!
Surely for nothing they are in turmoil;
man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!
in the moment, I believe he attained… but it didn’t last… there was an emptiness that followed
With the way he chose to live his life, he diminished the significance of this life
What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “He yearns jealously over the spirit that he has made to dwell in us”? But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
Granted, Solomon lived at a time prior to the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross
However, for each one of us, life is incredibly significant and important
In the finite time we have here on the face of the earth, we determine our eternal destination
It doesn’t matter whether we have 25 or 39 or 79 years… at the point of death, our eternal destiny has been sealed
This reality makes each moment… each decision… of each day a map to our eternal reward (judgement)
We only have this one opportunity to choose our destination… do we follow Solomon’s path of choosing the temporary pleasure of sin now or do we lives lives of surrender to Jesus Christ… forgoing those temporary pleasures in exchange for lasting fulfilment and satisfaction of following Jesus?
For a Christian… a true disciple of Jesus Christ… we are stewards of each moment God gives to us
We are responsible and accountable to God
As our relationship with God grows closer, our love for him will motivate us to wise decisions that reflect positively what Christ has done for us
When we grasp this reality, the tug of sin is lessened… the lies of satan are more distant… the allure of temporary pleasures is replaced with profound peace and joy
The epidemic levels of opioid abuse, drug and alcohol abuse, deviant sexuality, etc. are all attempts to fill an emptiness… a longing for significance… for purpose in life
We can know the significance of this life… it is a path to one of two doors to eternity. The significance of the door we live toward is eternal … not 25 or 39 or 79 years

To the choirmaster: to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.
I said, “I will guard my ways,
that I may not sin with my tongue;
I will guard my mouth with a muzzle,
so long as the wicked are in my presence.”
I was mute and silent;
I held my peace to no avail,
and my distress grew worse.
My heart became hot within me.
As I mused, the fire burned;
then I spoke with my tongue:
“O Lord, make me know my end
and what is the measure of my days;
let me know how fleeting I am!
Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths,
and my lifetime is as nothing before you.
Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath! Selah
Surely a man goes about as a shadow!
Surely for nothing they are in turmoil;
man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!
“And now, O Lord, for what do I wait?
My hope is in you.
Deliver me from all my transgressions.
Do not make me the scorn of the fool!
I am mute; I do not open my mouth,
for it is you who have done it.
Remove your stroke from me;
I am spent by the hostility of your hand.
When you discipline a man
with rebukes for sin,
you consume like a moth what is dear to him;
surely all mankind is a mere breath! Selah
“Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear to my cry;
hold not your peace at my tears!
For I am a sojourner with you,
a guest, like all my fathers.
Look away from me, that I may smile again,
before I depart and am no more!”
As I consider the importance and significance of our lives, I realize how much we need each other
psalm 39
Attempting to live a life of significance that is truly fulfilling and satisfying in isolation (or by myself) would be impossible
Each of us are created in the image of God… and God is a triune being of three persons in one. Even God, from eternity past, has not existed alone and in isolation
In the New Testament era, the church is designed to be that anchoring group of other people we interact with
Paul uses the analogy of a human body in … the body (church) does not consist of one member, but many
The human body functions as the members of that body function together as they were designed and organized… in cooperation with each other
When the human body doesn’t function as it should, it indicates some part is not cooperating or functioning as intended
This is such a picture of the church…
Life for an individual member will never achieve its greatest fulfilment or significance apart from functioning as designed in a body of believers
We all have different abilities and giftings…
To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man.
All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.
1 Corinthians 12:11
Eistein’s brain would have been useless apart from being in a functioning body… the intelligence of the brain is inconsequential if not in a body
If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.
As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.
The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
1 Corinthians 12
100 of Einstein’s brains alone would have been worthless compared to one in a functioning human body
100 of Einstein’s brains alone would have been worthless compared to one in a functioning human body
Synergy happens when a body… when a group… is working as a team for a common goal
Two horses can pull more than the combined ability of each
A cord with three strands holds much more than 3x the strength of one cord
your two arms together can lift more than what each arm can lift alone
Synergy is combining the energy and efforts to achieve much more than the sum of its parts… synergy is when 1+1+1+1 = 12 or more
