Pastoral Prayer from
Blessed Heavenly Father,
You are unspeakably great and greatly to be praised.
How unsearchable are Your judgments and unfathomable are Your ways.
The eyes of all creation look to You, and You feed them in due time.
You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living creature.
Father, this morning we seek satisfaction in You alone.
We are blessed by Your glorious salvation — the doctrine, the truth, the privileges and the promises.
We understand by Your Gospel that we were utterly and hopelessly lost, but You sought us and found us.
We were poor and needy, but You filled our cup to overflowing.
We were in darkness, but Your brought us into the light.
We were in bondage to sin, but You bought us by the blood of Jesus in made us slaves to righteousness.
You became our Rock, our Fortress, our Refuge, Our Redeemer.
We thank you.
In the name that is above every name, in the name of Jesus we pray.
Amen.
