By the showing of hands, who among you plays scrabble?

Who among you love the game of Basketball?

Face the person next to you, point your finger at him at say.. “you’re wrong!”

Now tell me, How does it feel? to be told that you’re wrong?

Without the Truth, there will be Turmoil

Nations against Nations

Both claiming to have the truth

Political Parties against each other

People uprising against the Government

You don’t have to look beyond the church

Even inside the the church there could be turmoil when the truth is not properly handled

Our Culture is Collapsing

Because of “Truth Decay”

BREATHE!

Adult bookstores had surpassed the number of Mc Donalds 3:1

Everyday 14 youth and children are murdered here in America

326 youth are arrested for alcohol offense daily

359 drug offenses

3,356 high school students drop out from school each day

3,533 babies are born to unwed mothers every 24 hours

13,076 are suspended from school every day

135,000 young people pack guns and knives when going to school each morning

America is now the leading producer of pornography

We have more people in jai in America than any other country

These are not just happening in America

Last Tuesday, my 40-year old nephew, Mike Genova, was gunned down to death in our hometown in the Philippines (show photo)

These and more are because of “Truth Decay”

When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.

why?

“Truth Decay” is because of IRS

Individualism - the habit or principle of being independent and self-reliant

The I, Me and Myself culture

The era of iWatch, iPhone, iPad and iMac

Partly, technology are being blamed for this

Headphones are way to some people to remain in their bubble

Even the air-conditioner at homes today have its share of the blame

Your source of truth is ‘yourself’

Relativism - the doctrine that knowledge, truth and morality exist in relation to culture, society, or historical context, and are not absolute

Going along with what everybody does

Rooting for what is popular

Hunger for acceptance

Your source of truth is your ‘society’

But the problem with that is, our culture is collapsing

It could be a “fact” but not necessarily the ‘truth

It was a fact that, previously there was 9 planets in our solar system, but in 2016, because of the man’s definition of planet they demoted Pluto as a dwarf planet because of its size and other characteristics

Very recently Nasa discovered 7 new earth-like exoplanets

It’s a fact, but it’s not absolute truth

It’s a fact that our society tolerates fornication

It’s a fact that our society condones abortion

We are so frantic about preserving/protecting insects and parasites, while we keep our mouths zipped about the purging of unborn babies

It’s a fact that our society lifted the prohibition of alcohol

It’s a fact that our society turn it’s blind eye on the culture of corruption

It’s a fact! But it’s not the truth!

Because just like what the definition of the word “Relativism” said, it is “NOT ABSOLUTE”

Only God’s truth is ABSOLUTE

Absolute meaning.. Universal and Unchanging

It applies to all culture

The absolute truth of God applies to all nations and culture

The Ten Commandments are cross-cultural

It is a sin to kill in America, likewise it is sin to kill in China, Indonesia, Australia, Syria...

It applies to all generation

The absolute truth of God is the same before, today and forever

Adultery was a sin 3,500 years ago, it is still a sin today and it will always be a sin 3,500 years from now

Lying was a sin before, a sin today and will be a sin forever

It’s the same for stealing

Secularism - is a belief system that rejects religion, or the belief that religion should not be part of the affairs of the state or public education

They take God out of the mainstream media

When you turn on your TV, out of the hundreds of channels, you will be happy to see 1 or 2 channels with programs that speaks about God

They take God out of our schools, then after a mass shooting, people ask where God is

We take God out of our Government, and then people complain when corrupt government officials steals tax payers money to buy multi million dollar homes and jets

IRS = Collapse of our Culture = Chaos

To close this father’s month series entitled, “In My Father’s Arms”, let’s revisit the life of Noah, the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth

Just like today, there was also chaos, extreme chaos during his generation

In a world taken by evil, violence, corruption and chaos, Noah was a righteous man

He was the only follower of God left on earth

And was blameless among the people of his time

Living in a society saturated with sin and rebellion against God, Noah was the only man alive that pleases God

It’s hard to imagine such faithfulness in the midst of godlessness

During Noah’s generation, the wickedness of man had covered the earth like a flood

God decided to restart humanity with Noah and his family

The Lord gave specific detailed instructions to Noah to build an ark in preparation for a catastrophic flood that will destroy every living thing on earth

Genesis 6:9–16 NIV

This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high. Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit high all around. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks.
