A study of Harvard University graduates at age 75 yielded a surprising result. Among 100 men who had retired at 65, seven out of eight were dead by age 75. In a second group of 100 who had worked beyond 65, only one in eight had died by age 75. The researchers concluded that retiring too early in life significantly reduces one’s longevity.
