10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

be strong, but not strength in self
we do not draw confidence nor power from who we are, we draw our confidence from who God is

10 Then Moses said to the LORD, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”

11 So the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? 12 Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”

God points to His strength as a reason confidence.

3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,

There is nothing in the some of human history that should give you confidence in self.
Self confidence is a sweet smelling lie whispered by rebellious men who would rather worship the man in the mirror rather than falling down at the feet Jesus

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

“Whole armor”

Nothing will ensure defeat quicker than holding back.

25 Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. 26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. 28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

give NO place to the devil
don’t let him have a foot hold in your emotions
don’t let him have a place in your thought life
don’t let him have place in your conversation

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood

“for” is there is connect 2 thoughts together.
Why should you put on the whole armour of God (why should you make every possible preparation?)
Because we are not facing a mere human foe

4 What is man that You are mindful of him,

And the son of man that You visit him?

5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels,

And You have crowned him with glory and honor.

6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;

You have put all things under his feet,

this verse is quoted in Hebrews

6 But one testified in a certain place, saying:

“What is man that You are mindful of him,

Or the son of man that You take care of him?

7 You have made him a little lower than the angels;

You have crowned him with glory and honor,

And set him over the works of Your hands.

8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet.”

there is has been some dispute in recent years as to the interpretation of the word angels in , but when should settle any disputes in rather short order.
Where may be some question in there really is no question in Hebrews 2
we are elevated by God, that is why you need to put on the His armour.
Worldly devices will never prevail (king Saul’s armour)

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

we have repeated charge here to take up the armor of God.
the original language lack punctuation to provide emphasis, so to provide emphasis authors would use repetition to get the point across.
This the equivalent of explanation marks, or typing in all caps
We need to take our enemy seriously
you can not dabble in sin and think that you are going to get away clean
you cannot live in a state of compromise and expect any level of victory

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

that lion has teeth (you are an idiot if you think he is a kitten to play with

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints

Stand therefore

Belt of Truth

Breast plate of righteouseness

Gospel shoes

it is the Gospel of peace

Shield of Faith

Helmet of Salvation

Sword of the Spirit

12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
