What is a leadership pipeline?

A leadership pipeline is a system that will help us identify three things. First it will help give people a target of growth, second it will help identify areas that people need to grow in personally to have more influence with the people around them, and third it will help Perry Assembly fulfill the vision to see peoples lives transformed.
A pipeline is a method for water to flow from one level to another. The pipeline gives direction to the water and forces the water to move in different directions to a desire destination. A leadership pipeline will give specific direction to people who desire to grow in there area of influence. With each turn on the pipeline there will be specific knowledge that will need to understood and practiced. Each level will describes new methods to accomplish task, and new ways to think.
The leadership pipeline is a system to support the ministry growth and the people growth of Perry Assembly congregation.

Discipleship

Matthew 28:19 NLT
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:
Jesus told the Disciples to go and make disciples. The assumption is that the Disciples were already Disciples. Our very first decision we make is to become a disciple, and that is a personal choice. Our first level of leadership is the choice to become a disciples, not just a church attender.

Marks of a Disciple

Self-management-the very first person that you will ever lead is yourself. The Father does not control you, the Holy Spirit does not force you, and Jesus does not make you. The choice to be a disciple and follow the commands of God is up to us. The choice to lead our lives in the specific direction that God has called us to is up to us. The Holy Spirit will empower you, and he will lead you, but he will not move you physically.
Self-management is spiritual and natural. There are habits that need to be managed that are spiritual and there are habits that need to be made that are natural.
Love-
John 13:35 NLT
Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
How we love one another is how we show people that we are disciples of Jesus. The statement that Jesus made is so clear that no theologian can argue what Jesus was saying.
There are many statements in scripture that Jesus made about walking in love with one another.
Luke 6:27 NLT
“But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you.
Luk
John 15:13 NLT
There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
1 Corinthians 13 NLT
If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless. When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
I Corinthians 13:
Perusing what it means to walk in love and then practicing what we learn is time well spent. The Bible says that people will notice and see Jesus in us.

Duplicator

The duplicator is someone who is actively seeking and mentoring other to become disciples of Jesus. He is teaching and supporting disciples through a relationship.
As with each level in the pipeline the duplicator will need to take a new level of thinking.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Romans 12:2 NLT
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
There are times in our life when we need to change the way we think. With each new turn in the leadership pipeline there is a new way to think
