Scripture:

Subject: Look Out, Look On, Look Over!

Introduction

I wasn’t quite sure with how to begin this message simply because I had caught so much hell through this week. I really began to feel as if I was walking through some barren land alone and had no one to talk to or turn to.
Who does the preacher reach out to when the weight of the world is on his shoulders?
When can I have a moment of weakness and vulnerability?
How can I make this journey on my own?
Just like me, the disciples had found themselves in this same place. As Jesus was preparing to take his leave, He was giving His disciples a set of instructions for them to follow.
Go and teach
Baptize them
Teach them to observe all things
But how are the disciples to handle themselves when confronted with the many issues of life?
When faith is weak, and hope is flailing in the wind, how is it that they can go on?
Jesus directed me to look at this two-word phrase “And LO!”
He asked me, “Johnson, Do you know what the “LO” stands for?”
The Lord brought three things to my mind

Look Out

Jesus wanted me to know that sometimes things will come upon me. I will not always be prepared to deal with the things that come at me.
There are some darts and arrows that the enemies throw at me, that I was not prepared for.
I’ve learned that I need to speak to those things that come at me to tear me down, “LOOK OUT!”
We have a promised covenant with the Lord
1 Chronicles 16:22 KJV 1900
Saying, Touch not mine anointed, And do my prophets no harm.
And it is because of that protection that I have to tell me enemies to
