But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Seed to be sown.
There is an assurance that if God is doing his part (which He is) and we are doing our part, 1 seed can become up to 100.

Is God not doing His Part?
Are we not doing our part?

Today we are going to take the next 3 parables and talk about what the seed is supposed to do.

Mark 4:21–32 NIV
He said to them, “Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand? For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.” “Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.” He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.” Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”
Mark 4:

Lamp on a Stand

It’s ridiculous to hide a lamp
Everything that is hidden is really intended to be disclosed
The secrets that Jesus was giving the disciples was intended to be given out.
Mark 4:11 NIV
He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables
mk 4:
It is only concealed in that some don’t have the knowledge of truth. The seed is to be spread.
If anyone has an ear - who are you to spread the seed to… those with ears.
Consider Carefully - You are supposed to hear the word, accept the word and after thinking about it you should buy in.
Pay Attention - see and understand the importance of what is being said here.
Take Heed (KJV) - comes with a warning that if you don’t buy into this you are the seed that falls on the path, or the rocks, or the thorns. You need to buy into the end purpose of the word of God.
Measure (WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE SEED, THE WORD, THE TRUTH OF WHO JESUS IS..... NOT MONEY OR ERRONEOUS GIFT GIVING OR EVEN ACTS OF KINDNESS...... THE WORD.)
The more you give the more fruit you experience - you cant out give God. - spread the word
The more you have, the more you get.

The Growing Seed

Note the switch in the parable from farmer to man
This is where we enter the story
The farmer (God) spread the seed.
It broke our hard hearts and we heard it and accepted it - we repented.
Out of our life grew fruit (hopefully) and seed.
WE MUST GIVE IT OUT
The growing has nothing to do with us and it can’t be explained
The seed grows - always.
That is the fruit that sustains us. The making of disciples.
Yeah buts
their heart is too hard - i’ve tried everything and nothing worked — just keep throwing.
their heart is to rocky - they are to weak minded and tempted by the things of the world - They used to come to church but — just keep throwing.
Their heart is surrounded by thorns - have you seen the things they are gong through.. now is not the time — now is the perfect time— just keep throwing.
We throw like he throws. path, rocks, thorns doesn’t matter - let the seed do what it will do.

The Mustard Seed

That little seed you have has the potential of being a life saver and protector.
Mark 4:30–32 NIV
Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”
Mark 4:30-32

Conclusion

The word “again” in verse thirty reminds us that all these parables are connected.
If you want to experience fruit hear and accept the word.
As your life begins to change, give the word and you will see that you produce and experience more fruit.
Don’t worry about how small you think your faith is or how others might perceive it, that's not your job. Your job is to throw the seed
The seed the God planted in you has the potential to give others great protection and life.
