Bustin’ Out

I was on a long trip about 14 weeks ago…Coast of California
Listening to the radio…Bustin’ Out!
Bustin' Out of L Seven is Rick James' second album on Motown sub-label Gordy Records....1979 I was 12 years old
Didn’t like myself | Quiet | My brother was cool...
We're bustin' out of this L-Seven square Freaks like you and I could never funk from there We're bustin' out, everybody come along We're gonna dance on the funk and make love on this song {Bustin' out}
We're bustin' out of this serious joint It was too square for me, do you get my point We're bustin' out and we're free from the square We done braided our hair, we don't mind if you stare {Bustin' out} We're bustin' out and we don't give a damn If you don't like our funk then take your stuff and scram {Bustin' out}
WHEN SOMETHING ON THE INSIDE WON’T WAIT ANY LONGER IT GETS OUT

John 7:37–38 NKJV
On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

Jesus’ Outburst

John 7:37-38
Describe the scene
Jesus walking around ‘Last Day’
Annual Feast (Same Ol’)
To understand what Jesus is talking about here and what make what he did so significant we need some background.

FEAST of TABERNACLES

Feast-of-Tabernacles GOD COMMANDED THE PEOPLE TO PARTY.....
Hebrew = Sukkot (Feast of Tents, Booths also FEAST OF IN-GATHERING)
Was celebrated in the Fall at the end of the year = Harvest
Commanded to live in a tent for 8 days to remember being in the dessert 40 years (Look Back & Wonder)

FEAST of TABERNACLES

Remember what the desert was like...
So they would make these temporary ‘shelters’
Can you get out of your comfort zone???
The roof of the shelter was commanded to have an opening...
THIS FEAST WAS FULL OF RITUAL
Celebrated:
Harvest
Progress
Provision
Exodus 17:1 NKJV
1 Then all the congregation of the children of Israel set out on their journey from the Wilderness of Sin, according to the commandment of the Lord, and camped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink.
Exodus 17:1–7 NKJV
1 Then all the congregation of the children of Israel set out on their journey from the Wilderness of Sin, according to the commandment of the Lord, and camped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink. 2 Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said, “Give us water, that we may drink.” So Moses said to them, “Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the Lord?” 3 And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said, “Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?” 4 So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me!” 5 And the Lord said to Moses, “Go on before the people, and take with you some of the elders of Israel. Also take in your hand your rod with which you struck the river, and go. 6 Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. 7 So he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contention of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”

Jesus’ Outburst

Every morning of the feast there was a joyous procession to the Pool of Siloam, with music, headed by a priest with a golden pitcher... It also reminded of the water out of the rock in the wilderness, and of messianic promises such as v3 about "joyfully drawing water from the springs of salvation".
1 Corinthians 10:1–4 NKJV
Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.
John 7:37
John 7:37–38 NKJV
On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

Point 2 Don’t Be Surprised You’re Just Witnessing Transformation (Bustin’ Out)

From cells to star systems everything has been designed by God to ‘bust out’ or exponentially grow beyond it’s current definition and it happens from the inside out!

You were once a single cell...

Not Necessarily Loud but Legit
