Jesus Sends on Mission to those Not Like Us.
Now those who had been scattered went about proclaiming the good news of the word.
And Philip came down to the city of Samaria and began proclaiming the Christ to them.
And the crowds with one mind were paying attention to what was being said by Philip, as they heard him and saw the signs that he was performing.
For many of those who had unclean spirits, they were coming out of them, crying out with a loud voice, and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.
And there was great joy in that city.

Scattered because of Persecution
Found themselves in foreign land - here Samaria.
Notice what they did - Witnessed wherever they went.
Did what Jesus did - Proclaimed the Kingdom, Cast out evil spirits, and Healed the Sick.
Now those who had been scattered went about proclaiming the good news of the word.
And Philip came down to the city of Samaria and began proclaiming the Christ to them.

Christ Broke Down the Dividing Wall -
For he himself is our peace, who made both one and broke down the dividing wall of the partition, the enmity, in his flesh,

People of a Different Race?
People of a Different Economic Status
Micro-Cultures?
Different Communities with Different Stereotypes - North Side/South Side
People of Different Political, Religious, or Social views than us?
Focusing on our Similarities as Bridges
The Samaritans had this in common
Common Heritage, Common Scriptures, Common Celebrations, Common Hope in a Messiah.
The First Starting Point is to humanize the other - As Jesus did with the Woman at the Well. - Should we focus on differences?
Common Interests, Common life issues (family?), Common Struggles.
Appreciate Differences
Be a Witness - Children’s Message.
