Speaking Out

out of the abundance on the heart the mouth speaks
when should a Godly man speak out?
we should only be speaking out about the things that really matter to God. I have three scripture references for that
what are the things we need to speak out about?
Speak the truth in Love even in the face of difficulty
Proverbs 27:5–6 NASB95
Better is open rebuke Than love that is concealed. Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But deceitful are the kisses of an enemy.
If you see your brother doing something wrong confront them. Rebuke simply means correction. Do not condone unrighteousness around you. do not is be silent if you see your brother doing something wrong,
Proverbs 27:
Proverbs 31:8–9 NASB95
Open your mouth for the mute, For the rights of all the unfortunate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, And defend the rights of the afflicted and needy.
We should be speaking for those who can’t speak for themselves.
how would you respond to a couple arguing in a public parking lot when it is obviously a heated argument and the woman looks scared and intimidated?
Strawberry Festival incident example
1 Peter 3:15 NASB95
but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;
be able to respond to people who think you are crazy for being a Believer.
How can you be so hopeful in such difficult circumstances

Practical Application

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
1 Corinthians 13:4–8 NASB95
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.
Proverbs 31:8–9 NASB95
Open your mouth for the mute, For the rights of all the unfortunate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, And defend the rights of the afflicted and needy.
Proverbs 31
1 Peter 3:15 NASB95
but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;
