Ezekiel 8:2–18 KJV 1900
Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber. And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain. Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry. He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations. And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall. Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about. And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up. Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The Lord seeth us not; the Lord hath forsaken the earth. He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord’s house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these. And he brought me into the inner court of the Lord’s house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east. Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose. Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
eze. 8:

WHEN HOLES BECOMES DOORS

Illustration
A father and son were driving down a country road and saw a watermelon patch a little way off the highway. The father said to the boy, “Keep a lookout here while I go get a melon.” He snuck into the patch, lifted a choice melon from the vine, and then called to the boy, “Is anyone coming? Look both ways.” The little fellow wisely responded, “But Daddy, shouldn’t we look up too?”
Door - a hinged, sliding, or revolving barrier at the entrance to a building, room, or vehicle, or in the framework of a cupboard.
Revelation 1:18 KJV 1900
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Revelation 1:8 KJV 1900
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
God holds the keys to the spiritual world and the natural or material world we live in, and He is able to see all things.
Revelation 2:18 KJV 1900
And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
There is no place that God can not go or observe. What am saying is the God sees all and knows all. There is no hold deep enough to conceal something from him. There is no night dark enough to hide from the Almighty.

THE IMAGE OF JEALOUSY

Ezekiel 8:5 KJV 1900
Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
Exodus 8:5 KJV 1900
And the Lord spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.
What’s stopping you from getting to the altars, the place of total surrender?
God said to Ezekiel “see what they do?”
What we do and how we live stands between us and God.
In order to get to God the image of jealousy must be removed from your life.
Jealousy - covetousness · desire · resentment · resentfulness · bitterness · discontent · spite · grudge · suspicion · suspiciousness · distrust ·
Exodus 20:4–5 KJV 1900
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

WHAT HAVE YOU ALLOWED TO PENETRATE YOU HEART

Ezekiel 8:7 KJV 1900
And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.
Sin always starts out small in anyone's life.
But sin will never remain the same size, it grows and until it will totally consume you. It better to deal with sin early in your life before it totally get out of control. You see there is a point in your life where sin will become exceedingly sinful. Its like a cancer slowing eating away destroying every good cell in your body.

GODS GRACE IN ACTION

Ezekiel 8:8–9 KJV 1900
Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.
EZE. 8

God gave the church which is the body a watchmen.
Watchmen - a person who keeps guard over a building at night, to protect it from fire, vandals, or thieves. 2. (formerly) a person who guards or patrols the streets at night.

Matthew 6:22–23 KJV 1900
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
2. Honoring and worshiping unclean animals as gods.
Romans 1:23–25 KJV 1900
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
3. Saying, The Lord does not see, because of worshiping in the darkness.
3. Saying, The Lord does not see, because of worshiping in the darkness.
4. Saying that Jehovah has forsaken the earth.

Illustration: Joe Louis was the world heavyweight boxing champion from 1937 until he retired in 1949. In 1946 Louis prepared to defend his title against a skilled fighter named Billy Conn. Louis was warned to watch out for Conn's great speed and his tactic of darting in to attack and then moving quickly out of his opponent's range. In a famous display of confidence, Louis replied, "He can run, but he can't hide."
