For a while God has been dealing with me on my, our relationship with our Father in Heaven and with our neighbors, and also people we just come in contact with once or occasionally in our life. The Bible tells us without a doubt how we are to treat God and also people around us. If you are like me, I fall very short in doing some of the things I know I should be doing.
We enjoyed the visit with our family this past month. We tried to be a good witness for our Savior, but my personal relationship suffered while on this trip. Do not get the wrong impression about what I said. My Reading time, prayer time, my just alone time was shortened a lot of the time. My burden increased for our family members that need Jesus in their life, and my heart went out to born again believers that were enduring many different types of hardship. Many, many people suffering.
During this time and our visits at different churches, my heart and thoughts would continually return here to Bairoil. I thought about the messages that were about growing our relationship with our Savior and Lord, about the events that were done to reach out to the community. Also the event this coming Sunday. Each person here should make it a matter of prayer along with our daily prayer list that we can reach out to the community with the love that people will see Jesus in us. We have to pray for people to be reached. We have to let God know we are serious about reaching this community.
If you do not have that burden or desire to feel others pain, to see them grow closer to God, to see them reborn into the Kingdom of God, do as I have done and are still doing, pray for God to give it to you. Pray that God will give you tears for the lost in this community. Pray that you can feel the pain and the desperation that is in many hearts today. Search your own heart today about your own salvation. You and God knows your heart. You may be saying, I am a good person and I don not hurt people intentionally.
Do you think you have anything to do with you getting to heaven, other than asking?
The Bible says,
The Bible says
4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

“What are you trusting in for eternity today?” I am not trying to embarrass anyone, I truly love each one of you with the love God has shown to me. I want truly that each one here today know Jesus without a doubt in your mind. This alter here is always open, if you want to respond now we will stop and pray with you. if anyone wishes to pray now we will pray with you.
I titled this message, “Our Godly Concern for Others.” We can not have a Godly concern for others if we do not have a Godly concern for ourself. We must be born again to pray for others and to have the love for others that God has for us.

We have to Desire to have a Godly Concern for others;
“I Don’t Discriminate, I Hate Everybody” proclaims a bumper sticker that reflects the uncaring attitude and coldness all too evident in the world.
We, as the family of God, must be different! Our lives should be about people. Service to others should be a way of life. People in Bairoil, by majority, live here because there is not a lot of people. I can totally relate to that. I am an introvert by human nature. People like to be left alone. Do not take what I am saying in the wrong way, God has called EVERY born again Christian to proclaim His Gospel. God sent me here for that reason, I am not nor will I force religion down anyones throat. Listening to the Holy Spirit, I will tell people about Jesus. I will pray for and be of service to all in the community. Our command from God is to make them aware of where they are headed, and what to do to go the other way, to heaven.
Our Godly concern for others should be reflected in our interactions with people and how we treat those around us—whether it be how we drive our cars, conduct ourselves while waiting in a long supermarket line, or engage others in conversation.
Those called by God () 44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. k :4l [, ; ; , ]The New King James Version. (1982). (). No Christian can live successfully who does not constantly and systematically seek to share the love of the Lord Jesus Christ with those who do not know Him, and no Christian will ever begin to do this until he or she feels a real concern, a burden for the salvation of the multitudes of men and women who are lost

Do you feel any concern for the lost? Have you any passion for souls? Are you burdened as you think of your loved ones and friends and of the thousands of others who are not saved? How long do folk have to be in our company before, with the help of God, we tell them of our wonderful Saviour? Or are we unconcerned? Could those of our unconverted loved ones and friends say – ? I. We have a description of the many people around
us for whose salvation we need to be deeply
concerned.

If we ask the question: What is the real need of the lost? – how does this portion of scripture answer it? It tells us three things about the people of that day which are true of people today.
The New King James Version. (1982). (). Nashville: Thomas Nelson. But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
A. They were Diseased (verse 35). Many people today may be religious, respectable and living morally decent and upright lives, but every unsaved soul is gripped by the disease of sin;
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
and doomed to a spiritual death
Romans 6:23a For the wages of sin is death,
1. Man’s first need is to be made perfectly whole through faith in the Lord Jesus. Multitudes of people live and die in a diseased condition, without God and without hope 12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

B. They were at a Distance (verse 35) – “the men of that place…sent word to all the surrounding country…”, which indicates distance. They were at a distance from the Lord, and what was true of them in that sense is true of multitudes today in a spiritual sense. The young people of our day and generation are to a very large extent growing up without any knowledge of God and of the gospel of His grace, and there is an ignorance of the Bible and of the gospel. How concerned we need to be for the multitudes!
36 fBut when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were 1weary and scattered, glike sheep having no shepherd.
36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
C. They were Disabled (verse 35). They had to be brought into the presence of the Lord. It is true that every sinner is disabled by sin
6 For when we were still without strength, 4in due time kChrist died for the ungodly.

II. When is it that we really begin to get concerned
about the souls of others?
II. When is it that we really begin to get concerned
about the souls of others?
Verse 35 gives us the answer to this question. It was “when the men of that place recognized Him” that “they sent word to all the surrounding country…” It is easy to see what happened. These men found the Lord for themselves, and they immediately became concerned that others might find Him too. That is what always happens; “knowing” and “going” go together. When we really know Him we shall go for Him, and the measure in which we know Him determines the measure in which we go –
32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

Here, then, is the qualification as well as the incentive to seek the lost; it is knowing the Lord personally and intimately –
III. When does this concern show itself?
III. When does this concern show itself?
If we really have a passion for souls and have a concern for their salvation, how shall we act?
Verses 35 and 36 tell us that “when the men of that place recognized Him” they did three things:-
A. They Sought (verse 35). They went out into all the surrounding country in search of those who needed the healing and saving touch of the Lord Jesus Christ. They scoured the district for needy souls. This is the Lord’s commission to us, Bairoil is our Jerusalem, and surrounding areas is our Judea and Samaria
Judea and nSamaria
It was C. T. Studd who gave the following advice to the missionaries in Central Africa: “Get the simple gospel out into the whole of your vast district, and see that every soul knows the way of salvation and has a fair chance of being saved.”
It was C. T. Studd who gave the following advice to the missionaries in Central Africa: “Get the simple gospel out into the whole of your vast district, and see that every soul knows the way of salvation and has a fair chance of being saved.”
We cannot make people accept, but we can take away their excuse by telling them. We can tell without harassing. For me it would be to build relationships and when the Holy Spirit opens the door, to tell them. For you, only when the Holy Spirit gives you the opportunity.
B. They Brought (verse 35). The word “brought” telling them,
praying before and after for them, and visiting unless they
tell you not to come back. Then you just continue to pray for
them,
is the most important word in this study. It indicates an emphasis which we must regain if we are successful to win others to Christ. It is important to go to them, but rescue work involves more than simply going to those who are lost. Souls must be brought to Christ. A fisherman is not content simply to fish; he is only satisfied when he catches fish – and you and I must not be content just to tell others of the Saviour’s love; we must seek His grace to bring them to Him.
C. They Begged (verse 36). They pleaded with Him that those whom they had brought might be healed – in other words, they prayed. A true passion for souls will quickly show itself in persistent prayer for their salvation. In prayer God shows us those whom He would have us seek to win for Him, and in prayer we become channels through whom the Holy Spirit effects His work of winning them.
IV. Where does this concern for others begin to
operate?
IV. Where does this concern for others begin to
operate?
A. In our hearts and in our prayers.
Verse 35 again gives the answer; it tells us that “…the men of that place…sent word to all the surrounding country.” They became evangelists to their own people! And when we get a passion for souls, we shall begin to be burdened and concerned for the salvation of those with whom and amongst whom we live. We shall begin “in Jerusalem” ().
Conclusion: This has been from my heart, we need, as a family of God, to have a Godly concern for this community. We need to search out ways to be a witness to this community. Prayer is the most important way to begin. Pray for a burden for the lost and for a way to tell them about Jesus. Tell them what Jesus did for you.
