Job 1:6–22 ESV
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. 7 The Lord said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.” 8 And the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?” 9 Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for no reason? 10 Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But stretch out your hand and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.” 12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord. 13 Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house, 14 and there came a messenger to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them, 15 and the Sabeans fell upon them and took them and struck down the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” 16 While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, “The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” 17 While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, “The Chaldeans formed three groups and made a raid on the camels and took them and struck down the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” 18 While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, “Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house, 19 and behold, a great wind came across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young people, and they are dead, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” 20 Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. 21 And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” 22 In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong.

from todays message entitled “TESTING 1, 2, 3...”
As I introduce this passage of scripture to you I want to take you on a journey into my personal life. I have not revisited this passage of scripture until now since the passing of my late wife Shmeka. Many of you would ask why. I am gonna tell you why. 3 days before her going home to be with the Lord I taught from this passage. It’s not that I don’t believe in the word of God but I just didn’t go to this particular scripture. However it in written quite boldly in my spirit and heart. By now many of you are already asking the question what does this have to do with me. Don’t worry you will find yourself in today’s message.
So lets go back to April 5, 2017…Just a regular day as always. I did my facebook live the HIGH NOTE. On this day Shmeka is studying for her Real Estate Exam on April 6. She’s excited I am excited for her. Helping her study for her exam.
Now it is April 6.... Take her to the testing center pray with her. And off she goes. Test over scores 74…Ahhhh needed a 75 to get her license. She was disappointed but as many would know me I encouraged her she got this.
Now we are off to enjoy the rest of the day and prepare for surgery in the morning.
April 7 Comes just like any other morning we get up have to be at the hospital .....
You are asking yourself right now how this applies to me.
Life is moving all around you. You are going about your regularly scheduled program.
However TESTING 1, 2, 3..... IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER
The Message Chapter 1

6–7  One day when the angels came to report to GOD, Satan, who was the Designated Accuser, came along with them. GOD singled out Satan and said, “What have you been up to?”

Satan answered GOD, “Going here and there, checking things out on earth.”

8  GOD said to Satan, “Have you noticed my friend Job? There’s no one quite like him—honest and true to his word, totally devoted to God and hating evil.”

9–10  Satan retorted, “So do you think Job does all that out of the sheer goodness of his heart? Why, no one ever had it so good! You pamper him like a pet, make sure nothing bad ever happens to him or his family or his possessions, bless everything he does—he can’t lose!

12  GOD replied, “We’ll see. Go ahead—do what you want with all that is his. Just don’t hurt him.” Then Satan left the presence of GOD.

As I close
Remember that God is the one who knows you better then you do. Also remember this fact....
Isaiah 54:16–17 NKJV
16 “Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy. 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.
What you are currently are going through is not going to take you out.
It will not Cripple you. You cannot or will not quit.
Just on the other side of this is a reward for your suffering.
Job 42:10 ESV
10 And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
