A House Divided

Integrity
Matthew 12:25 ESV

James 3:9–10 ESV
With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
James 3:11–12 ESV
Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water.
James 3:2 ESV
For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.
1 Corinthians 14:18–20 ESV
I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. Nevertheless, in church I would rather speak five words with my mind in order to instruct others, than ten thousand words in a tongue. Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.
Dividing ourselves from the Body
James 1:4–5 ESV
And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
Integrity and Authority
James 1:6–8 ESV
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

There are 5 main enemies of unity:
1 Poor Communication- distrust
2 Gossip- You have 1 option: hand the problem UP to someone who can do something about it. Negative up Positive Down
I do not understand people that pee in their cereal and then complain that it tastes bad -Henry Cloud
3 Unresolved Disagreements- Most people will only think about the disagreement and not perform until it is resolved
4 Lack of Shared Purpose: everyone doesn't know where we're going.- Football team has 1 goal, that ball over that line, if the running back drops the ball then the entire team becomes a running back because the purpose is to get the ball over the line. If a football team functioned like most teams then when the running back dropped the ball they would all continue blocking because its his job to carry the ball not mine.  The purpose takes precedent over my job.
5 Sanctioned incompetence. Allowing people to continue in behaviors that hinder the organization.
Show up, tell the truth, do the right thing and you will outlast 95% of the competition
