What does it mean to be made in the image of God? In what ways do we reflect and represent him? What are the implications of bearing his image? No matter what issues are at the forefront of society, whether dividing or uniting, we need to remember what it means to be human. It is the core of our identity and comes before any discussion of race, sexuality, tribe, religion, age or culture. History shows that time and again humanity has been debased and dignity neglected because we've placed those other divisions above what unites as human beings. And the gospel of Jesus does not replace or supersede this core identity, but fulfils it and restores it.
