Step One: See God!
Step One: See God!
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
The word acknowledge here is the Hebrew word YadA It means to know, notice, learn, realize, to understand, Get to know, discover the Greek word that translates this Hebrew word means to see.
So we could say, in all of your ways “see” God, Get to know God, Know God, and He will direct your paths.
Bringing our decisions to God shouldn’t be confined to a question but to a new discovery of who God is.
Philippians 1:9-10
And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,
Spend time getting to know God and His love for you. The more we understand His love for us the more knowledge and discernment we will have making decisions
Step Two: Don’t be in a hurry!
Also it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge,
And he sins who hastens with his feet.
To learn about God takes time.
Enjoy the ride. Take your time. you will find that at the end of the day seeing God in a new way will be the greatest reward you will receive.
Ponder the path of your feet,
And let all your ways be established.
When you are under pressure it’s usually a bad time to make decisions, when you can’t reflect or think about what you are doing chances are that your decisions will be flawed.
Step 3- Don’t make poor decisions
Step 3- Don’t make poor decisions
Many times we think we have to make a decision and for lack of any other options we decide to make a poor decision.
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10
Don’t make choices that are questionable.
There is pressure around us trying to force our hand. Don’t give in.
There is always a way out of a bad decision. Take it!
Commit your works to the Lord,
And your thoughts will be established.
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
