There is a war within us that we must be conscious of so we can direct it accordingly. In the words of the song, "Onward, Christian Soldiers" we are certainly "marching as to war." This war is the flesh against the spirit, or more accurately stated from our side, the spirit against the flesh. At this point in his letter to the Galtians, Paul tells them they are no longer under the old law. This doesn't mean theyre free to do watever they want.
