baptism is at the finality of becoming a Christian and not the beginnning

Paul contrasts human wisdom to God's wisdom

I Cor 1:25-30 How many wise are saved? How many Mighty, noble are saved?

God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the thing that are mighty.

A king born in the stable

leader who was put to death on the cross
