I. Signs of the Times

vv.1-13

The world will experience the birthing pains before Christ steps back into this world.

When we are on guard we don’t have to be anxious, for we have the spirit.

What signs have we seen? What is yet to happen?

Remember that There are often promises with immediate fulfillments and longterm fulfillments as well. What are some examples?

II. The Great Tribulation

vv.14-23

2 Thess. 2:3-4

We can expect persecution and tribulation as children of God but Jesus is warning us of an even greater tribulation to come.

If there was ever any doubt that Jesus is plan A read verses like this. God could have stopped time short and stopped all suffering long ago if it weren't for the sake of the elect.

God is the only being in all of creation who knows the elect. So we must live lives of passionate evangelism in preparation for that day.
