Why Baptism?

Matthew 28:16-
Matthew 28:16–20 NRSVCE
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

What is Original Sin?

Acts 22:16 NRSVCE
And now why do you delay? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.’
Ac 22:16
Baptism is a cleansing of sins from Original sin to now.

Baptism as a symbol of putting on Christ.

Ga 3:
Galatians 3:27 NRSVCE
As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
When being baptized you are putting on Christ as if he were a coat or a cape.
This makes you feel Jesus Christ all around you and makes you feel like a super hero.
