His Condition Verse 46

Come on Let us pull back the curtain of time some where between Jericho and Jerusalem on probably a dust road there lay a man begging on the side of the road. Can we take a little time out an get a closer look at this man. The bible said he a blind man( which tell us he could not see), he was a beggar ( this let us know he was poor or didn’t have any value), and they only told us his first name Bartimaeus and this Daddy first name. It paint a picture of this man as Blind, Broke and with no real ID. The first thing I need you to see about Bartimaeus is that he did not let his condition keep him from Jesus. Bartimaeus did not let his condition or his situation keep him from Jesus. The question on the floor this morning is what is your condition or what is your reason keep you from getting to Jesus. Is it people, is it yourself, is it your job, is it your attitude, is it your social status, . Think about it. Their are other time in the Bible that individual did not let a crowd, nor there finanical situation keep them from getting to Jesus. Do you remember the woman with the issue of blood she did not let no crowd or her Financial status as matter of fact it did not give her name but it did not stop her from getting to Jesus. She had a issue, she had spend all she had the only thing she had left was her faith. Here it seem like Bartimaeus is in the same boat. So take this as a example that whatever your condition are you should not let that stop you from getting to Jesus.

His Cry Verses 47-48

When he heard that Jesus was passing by he begin to cry out Jesus have mercy on me. Not only did he not let his blindness stop him. how many know when you lose one of your five senses another sense become strong . I think in Bartimaeus situation his sense of hearing picked up. He begin to Cry out in spike of the crowd. Have mercy on Me!!!! have you ever be cry out to Jesus and people tried to shut you up. Look at the Text even Christian folk tried to shut Bartimaeus up and keep him from Jesus. The disciples try to keep blind Bartimaeus for getting to Jesus. Look at the Verse 48. The take way this morning is don’t let nobody or nothing keep you from crying out to Jesus.

His Calling Verse 49-50

The disciples try to keep blind Bartimaeus for getting to Jesus.

Third “C” I need you to see is his calling. Jesus recongize Bartimaeus crying out for Mercy. I thank God that Jesus can even hear you in a crowd. he heard my cry and stopped and summoned him. The same people who tried to keep you away from Jesus is one Jesus use to get you to him.

We have to take off thing that is going to hold us back from Jesus

His Conversation verse 51
