Pride

The word pride comes from the Hebrew Noun Zadon it’s translated as “Pride”, “Insolence”, “Presumptuousness”,or “Arrogance”

The noun is formed from the verbal root Zud or Zid meaning “to boil up”, to “act proudly”, “presumptuously”, or “rebelliously”

Synonyms for Pride are : Ambition, Arrogance, Selfishness,Self-Righteousness, Self-Will, Stubborn, Vainglory, and Vanity.

A Person who is full of pride and arrogance and they disrespect the appointed priest or judge of the Lord is an act of rebellion towards Him.

Pride is a rebellion against God because it attributes to oneself the honor and glory when it should be to God alone.

Proud Persons do not think it;s necessary to ask for forgiveness because they do not want to admit their sinful condition

Pride leads towards the blaming of others for the actions you have committed

Adam told God and blamed Eve for giving him fruit of the Forbidden Tree , and also blamed God because he said “The woman whom You gave to be with me”

Eve blamed the serpent for she said “The serpent deceived me, and I ate”

Neither of them both could take the blame for themselves for they have pointed the finger at each other.

Do we not do that towards others at sometimes .

When certain things happen we tend to be quick to blame others or certain situations we committed and blame the things for it ; instead of saying “Yes I did that, It was my fault” I am guilty of this myself i would be a hypocrite if i said “that's never me”

Pride leads to self- exaltation
