There are white fields but few laborers

I. You were: Life before Christ (1-3)
(Bad News)
The fall of humanity
The fall caused spiritual death (Walking dead)
Set the world on a different course
Following the prince of the power of the air
We all (everyone) once lived in sin
Children of wrath
What my life was like before Christ
II. But God: What happened (5-6)
(Good news)The Gospel
God does not delight in wrath but is merciful
His great act of love, the cross, allows him to be both merciful and just
Makes us alive: New birth
Raises us up: access to the living God
How the gospel came to my life
III. So that: Life with Christ (7-10)
(Purpose) God saves us for a purpose
Coming age: Eternity of the immeasurable riches of his grace in
kindness (hesed, steadfast love, kindness, covenant loyalty)
Begin a walk of humility (the exact opposite of the course of the world)
Created for good works (The artwork of God)
