Your Excellency,

I write this letter on the eve of World Mission Sunday. We are now in autumn. It is a wonderful season of the year when leaves of the trees turn their colors from green into gold. It is gorgeous. We hope that you are doing well so too all my brother priests. I am doing fine but of course with medications.

It is a great pleasure to inform you that last July, three months ago, I received my PRC (Permanent Resident Card) so called Green Cards. This is a big deal for me. Hardly and very really every one gets this kind of card. This will allow me to go everywhere I wish to and return to USA without the Visa. We visited Denver, Colorado recently and I was fortunate enough to spend some time this summer with my friends.

I want to bring your attention in terms of my ministry here in Salina Diocese. As to my understanding Our contract with the diocese is going to end by next year in July, 2008. Literally it is only 7 more months remain. I believe you have received Fax from Bishop Paul S. Coakley reminding you of my status here and to extend my ministry here. Bishop Paul had already agreed to extend another term of contract and I told him that I am willingly to extend my ministry with the Diocese of course with your agreement. Therefore I strongly suggest you to reply his letter positively and to allow the extension of the contract. (like Pathein Bishop is doing for their priests. He is very intelligent as I want you to be). I work hard and exercise my ministry in the fullest way. My parishioners like the way I work for them. Bishop himself is in favor of me too. I enjoy my ministry here in your Diocese as I just better get to know the people day by day and it is a great blessing to be here in Western Kansas.

There are five Burmese priests here in Salina Diocese and there is no way that he can accept a new Burmese priests here (may be in other Diocese, we shall treat this issue in the future). In fact it is very costly to train a new priests here. Some American priests are not in favor with international priests. But with Bishop’s consent they can do anything. Therefore it is a great unique chance both for you (Diocese) and for me to continue my ministry here. I am fine with everyone here.

Only now I get to know better people and some agency which I hope might get some funds. We do this in the future. Another suggestion: please write to Monsignor James Hake asking him to allow me to do Mission Appeal in Salina Diocese. We miss the chance this year as you failed to write to him. If you write to him this year we will get the chance next year to do a Mission Appeal which some how will help our Diocese.

Fr. Steve Heina, a president of propaganda of faith is taking Sabbatical Year and Monsignor James Hakes is taking hi play. Here is his address you can write to him.

Msgr. James Hakes (V. G)

Diocese Of Salina

103 N. Ninth

P.O Box 980

Salina, Kansas 67402- 0980

U.S.A

Please write both to Bishop Paul S. Coakley and to me. We hope your positive reply ASAP. I hope you received bucks I sent last year. I help Fr. J. Pho Min for the construction of the guest House too. We will send you again after we hear from you. Please keep me in your prayer as we continue to serve God’s people in Western Kansas and I look forward to all that God has for us in the future.

Yours Obediently,

Greetings:

I write this letter on the eve of World Mission Sunday. We are now in autumn. It is a wonderful season of the year when leaves of the trees turn their colors from green into gold. It is gorgeous. We hope that you are doing well so too all my brother priests. I am doing fine but of course with medications. Thank you for your last letter to which I replied already. I hope you’ve received it.

It is a great pleasure to inform you that last July, three months ago, I received my PRC (Permanent Resident Card) so called Green Cards. This is a big deal for me. Hardly and very really every one gets this kind of card. This will allow me to go everywhere I wish to and return to USA without the Visa. I want to bring your attention in terms of my ministry here in Salina Diocese, USA. As to my understanding Our contract with the diocese is going to end by next year in July, 2008. Literally it is only 7 more months remain. I think Bishop Danu has received Fax from Bishop Paul S. Coakley reminding him of my status here and to extend my ministry here. Bishop Paul had already agreed to extend another term of contract and I told him that I am willingly to extend my ministry with the Diocese of course with Bishop’s agreement. Therefore I strongly suggest Bishop Danu and you to reply his letter positively and to allow the extension of the contract. (like Pathein Bishop is doing for their priests. They are here 8 years by this year. He is very intelligent as I want Bishop to be). I work hard and exercise my ministry in the fullest way. My parishioners like the way I work for them. Bishop himself is in favor of me too. I enjoy my ministry here in your Diocese as I just better get to know the people day by day and it is a great blessing to be here in Western Kansas.

Dear Ko Gyi, I request you as a VG to suggest Bishop to give a positive answer to Bishop Paul Coakley. It is all for the future of our Diocese. Please don’t make this issue to the public, but you and bishop keep it to yourselves and I ask you simply suggest bishop to give a positive answer. Fr. Calistus Saw Ehmwee is visitng us here recently. You are most welcome to visit us too. We can arrange that latter is you want to. We will be sending you an invitation if you want to. We hope the positive reply from bishop. We will write to you again before the Christmas meanwhile we are looking forward to hear from you too. Please keep me in your prayer as we continue to serve God’s people in Western Kansas and I look forward to all that God has for us in the future.

Yours sincerely,
