Perfect Blood of the Covenant

1.  Purpose of the law (Ex & Lev), Rom 3:20

                -to show man’s sin

                -to show man’s inability to remove that sin

                -continual sacrifices required

2.  Christ’s sacrifice (Heb 10:10, 12-14)

                -the final complete sacrifice

                -washes away our sin

3.  Benefits

                -Pardon of transgressions (past sins)

                -Freedom from the power of sin

                -Freedom from death – for the Christian death isn’t an end but it’s the door into a larger more abundant life

                -The victorious life – (Gal. 2:20) – The power of the Cross descending down into the believers’ heart enables him to overcome sin.  “They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony (Rev. 12:11)

BY THE BLOOD I CAN:

RUN THIS CHRISTIAN JOURNEY

I can’t receive the power of the blood in my life by any other means than applying the blood of the perfect lamb, not by singing the loudest in the choir, smiling the best on the usher board, or spending every single day in church or giving the largest offerings. If I don’t apply His blood, I will not be an overcomer.  Its only by the blood!!
