Uzziah was supposed to fix everything not destroy it all.

He found himself in love with his own story and power and rose too high so God had to reign him in.

Nothing is just ordinary. “The whole earth is full of his glory.” We keep trying to fill it with monuments to our own glory—kingdoms, businesses, hit songs, athletic victories, and other mechanisms of self-salvation. But the truth is better than all that. Created reality is a continuous explosion of the glory of God.
