INTRODUCTION. In the English language the word envy is similar to jealousy.

I. WHAT IS ENVY?

1. Envy is a sin that produces confusion; .For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17

II. FROM WHERE DOES ENVY COME?

1. It comes from carnality; .for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

III. WHEN DOES ENVY BEGIN?

1. It begins when there is lust; . For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.

V. WHY IS ENVY DANGEROUS?

VI. HOW CAN ENVY BE CURED?

1. By manifesting love; 1 Cor. 13:4.4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up
